The next day, Sam and Penny both signed on at the same time

"Oh hey Sam" Penny said sheepishly as she went to her locker

"Oh, Penny, I didn't see you there" Sam replied awkwardly. Sensing the awkwardness between them both Penny tried to start conversation

"So, umm, how was your evening Sam"

"Um, yeah, it was alright" Sam blushed slightly "How was yours"

"Same old i guess" Penny replied slyly

As the pair made it upstairs, Elvis was standing with his girlfriend Ellie Phillips. Upon seeing the pair walk into the kitchen they smirked at each other full well knowing their feelings towards each other. In fact, it was obvious to everyone BUT Sam and Penny!

Sam made his way over to the kettle while Penny took her favourite book out of the bookshelf. Ellie noticed this and walked over to her best friend "Why haven't you told him?" she questioned her older friend

"W-what do you mean by that exactly Ellie" Penny questioned

"Oh come on Penny! We all know you're in love with Sam!" she whispered. Penny looked over at Sam talking to Elvis and blushed

"I knew it!" Ellie said as she put her hands above her head and leant back on the sofa

"Wait! No! You've got it all wrong, he doesn't like me in that way, neither do I!" Penny exclaimed quietly

"Sure Pen" Ellie smirked

By this point, Penny was trying to hide her tomato red blush that had spread across her face in her book that she was reading, it was a romance novel about Sam. Penny liked how it was written and how Sam was presented, it had captured most of his personality but not all of it, those left over are what she had seen, his soft playful side that he never showed to anyone else.

Meanwhile, Sam was talking to Elvis

"Mate, honestly, when are you going to tell her?" Elvis questioned him

"Ask who?" Sam asked back innocently

"Penny of course!" He exclaimed. Sam had now gone redder than his hair and wished to just be able to vanish at this point.

"Don't worry, your secrets safe with me" Elvis grinned "oh no, why do i feel like this could be vert bad" Sam thought to himself

Thankfully, the fire alarm went off at that moment

"There is a fire at the whole fish café" station officer Steele announced over the loudspeakers.

"Saved by the bell-literally" Sam thought to himself as he headed over to one of the poles, Elvis in close pursuit as he saw Elle and Penny slide down the other ones. The firefighters quickly put on their uniform and Helmets. Sam headed over to Mercury while Penny, Elle and Elvis got into Jupiter with Penny driving.

Quickly the firefighters left the stations, sirens blaring loudly down the street.
