Christmas Eve
I sighed.
My eyes were shut as I laid on top of Leo's bare chest. One of his arms were wrapped around my waist loosely and the other had managed to spread across the bed on the opposite side. My eyelids were heavy, a feeling a warmth spreading over my body as I tucked my face deeper into Leo's neck. His breathing was slow, calm as he slept under me heavily, showing no signs of waking up anytime soon.I closed my eyes, the temptation of sleep creeping closer before I heard a sudden ringtone go off.
At first I tried to ignore it, before squeezing Leo slightly, giving in and opening my eyes at the noise, leaning over Leo. His phone was vibrating, the contact name Grace bright on the screen. Meanwhile Leo from under me groaned at my sudden movement, wrapping his arms fully around my waist and pulling me down towards him, "Ignore it. I'm off work today." He mumbled without opening his eyes, still half asleep. He nuzzled his face towards my arm softly, planting a small kiss along my skin while he was half asleep.
I looked down at him, feeling an unfamiliar jealously bubble under my skin. What did she have to be calling Leo about? And since when have they had each other's numbers? Are they that close? I took a deep breath. I shouldn't be jealous.
"You might want to answer this Leo." I pinched his arm. He opened his eyes sleepily landing on the phone I was holding up to his face, the contact name in big letters.
He blinked over at it, his arms still wrapped around me before he grabbed the phone slowly from my hand, pressing it against his ear.
"Hello?" He asked, clearly half asleep still yawning immediately after. I looked down at him, feeling a bit annoyed. Already the start to the day and she's calling Leo...and on an important holiday.
"Shit. Is that today?" Leo placed a hand on his face in distress. I got up from on top of him, rolling over and closing my eyes, trying to drown out the urge to ask him what he was talking about.
"Shit. Yeah, Okay." He stated, "Okay, bye."
He ended the call fairly quickly, placing his phone back where it was and rolling over, wrapping his arms around my waist and planting a kiss on my bare shoulder.
"Sorry, kitten. I have to go out right now. But I'll meet you again in the afternoon. Okay?" He mumbled next to my ear.
I hesitated, "Where are you going? It's Christmas Eve."
"I know. I know. I'm sorry." He sighed against me in response, "James asked me to attend some party thing and I had no idea it was today. Grace just called me about it. I'll be back soon." Leo quickly kissed my cheek, before quickly peaking my lips, throwing the covers off as he stood up.
I sighed, bringing the covers closer to my body as I closed my eyes.

I tapped my fork on my plate, looking over towards the front door and towards the plate that sat across me without an owner. I thought that maybe Leo would've been back by now. I sighed, tapping the home button for my phone for what felt like the millionth time in the last five minutes. He isn't answering his text messages either. I tilted my head, pouting my lips down at my phone in defeat. Leo...where are you?

Leo
I was sat at a table along with Grace, James and some people James claimed he wanted me to meet."Jules, this is Leo. Leo, this is Jules." Grace introduced a girl about five in front of me.
"Hi, Jules. I heard you're a big fan." I tilted my head towards her with a smile.
She covered her face at the sight of me, clearly flustered.
"She's shy." Grace smiled as Jules turned towards her, hiding herself against Grace's neck.
