I sat across from Johnathan, not really knowing what to say. I haven't seen him in two years. I mean, the bachelors and I have hung out since then but he was always too busy or out of town for the occasions. It was surreal seeing him in front of me right now. I remember when him and I used to see each other daily first period in class when he invited me to sit next to him. I never realized how much I missed him until this exact moment.

"So, how do you two know each other?" Tate asked Matthew, motioning towards Johnathan.

"Uh, we met each other while volunteering actually." Matthew looked over at Johnathan who just shrugged.

I smiled slightly, of course Johnathan would be actively volunteering.

"Oh really? That's actually really cool of you guys." Tate answered.

Johnathan eyed Matthew cheekily before he looked over at me with a knowing smile.

I raised my eyebrows in a "what are you doing here" look.

He shrugged, smiling slightly.

"How has your screenwriting been going?" Johnathan asked me casually. I had so many questions. Why hasn't he been to the get togethers with the bachelors? Why is he on a date second of all? Johnathan has no trouble with girls from what I remember. Plus, he is handsome and super sweet.

"Do you two know each other?" Tate asked, his eyebrows raised.

Before I could answer Johnathan nodded, "Haley and I went to the same high school."

I nodded along. I missed him.

"Oh, what high school?" Tate seemed interested.

"It was L-"

I kicked Johnathan under the table and he paused. I've never shown Tate any high school photos or have talked to him about it either. He knows basically everything about Leo. Including our school name. I can't let him know that not only am I the same age as Leo, but I also went to school with him.

Johnathan laughed, "Sorry. Left my brain." He shrugged, grabbing his drink and sipping it.

Tate looked over towards me and I shrugged also.

Tate seemed to drop the conversation quickly and we all went back to our small conversation about our lives.

After the meal, Matthew and Tate left first, leaving Johnathan and I to ourselves.

I smiled, waving as Tate winked towards me as he walked away, clearly happy.

"Holy shit, Hales. I didn't expect to see you on a date." Johnathan started.

I looked over towards him and laughed, "It's a long story."

"Are you and Leo not together anymore?" He asked, raising an eyebrow curiously.
