After Eli opened his gifts, he began jumping up and down at a games Leo told me he wanted before running up to both of us and bringing us into a group hug of appreciation. Leo laughed, ruffling up Eli's hair and saying that it was no big deal and that he was glad he liked our present as I smiled also. All my worries seemed to fade away after seeing Eli so happy. Mrs.Davis had given me a beautiful bracelet with a three leafed clover on it and my mom gifted me an iPad because she heard from a college that it helps her daughter with schoolwork which I was very thankful for.

"Haley? Can I speak with you for a moment?" Leo's mother suddenly asked as I sat on the couch next to Eli and Leo.

I nodded, stealing a glance towards Leo as I stood up. He watched me disappear into the front entrance. I followed after slowly, still a bit lost in my thoughts. She stopped walking reaching onto the desk next to us towards a small box.

"I want you to have this." She held it out. I hesitated, my hands shaking slightly as I grabbed onto it curiously. I opened the box up, pausing as my eyes landed on a shimmery diamond ring. It was so beautiful, almost mesmerizing. My gaze shifted over towards the engagement ring on my ring finger. The ring on my finger was the ring Leo originally proposed to me with, but he's mentioned getting me a new one after Titanic. Even though I've told him multiple times that this one was more than enough, he's still persisted.

"It's passed down the family." She spoke, getting me out of my thoughts, "Leo's grandmother had it for her wedding, and I had it. And now, Haley, I want to give it to you."

I was utterly speechless. How could I accept such a precious item that's passed down through generations? I shook my head, "I couldn't possibly." I tried to give it back but she shook her head, her hand clasping over my hand that held onto the box.

"Leo wants you to have it too. We've talked it over. He said you'd be like this." She laughed slightly, her eyes glimmering.

I opened my mouth, not really knowing what to say as I looked down at the ring.

"Thank you. So much. I'll keep it safe. I promise." I nodded my head reassuringly towards her.

She nodded, "What are you waiting for? Try it on!" She seemed eager.

I giggled, taking it out of the box and sliding off my former ring and sliding on the new one. It fit perfectly, just tight enough so it wouldn't fall off.

"Fits perfect." She grabbed my hand to examine it, "Now let's go show it off to Leo." She quickly pulled me towards the living room once again, almost making me loose my balance.

"Leo!" His mom sung, pushing me in front of her. He was now standing up, leaning against the couch as if he expected this.

"Look. Doesn't it suit her perfectly?" She held out my hand for me. I laughed shyly, looking away. Leo grabbed my hand from his mom, examining it himself.

"It's beautiful." He spoke, looking directly into my eyes instead of down at the ring. I blinked over towards him, feeling a faint blush grow on my cheeks. We've been together for how many years and I'm still blushing at him?

His mom disappeared to brag to my mother and Mrs.Davis, leaving me and Leo alone. My hand was still in his, our gaze still fixated on each other. I was still on guard about the whole him going to Graces house without telling me thing. But right now was felt so infinite, as if this moment was going to last forever. Leo called the ring beautiful on me. He wanted me to have it. Not Grace. Not anyone else. It's one of a kind. And yet he wanted it for me. He brought my hand to his lips, kissing it tenderly before letting go, walking around the couch and towards Eli once again. I let go of a breath I didn't know I was holding, my hand falling back to my side.

It was when Mrs.Davis was on the couch with Eli and Leo. They were trying to explain the concept behind the games Eli had gotten, which included animal crossing, as she listened closely, not really getting it but smiling at how excited he was anyway. Leo's mother and mine were leaning against the couch, in a conversation about the wedding that still wasn't anytime soon. A distant phone ringing caught my thought process off guard.
