CHAPTER FIVE

"You're coming?"
"I can't let you go alone, I understand her kind better than you do"

"Plus am worried about her"
Cleo said accepting her hand, Dorothy pulled her into the boat and Lee zoomed off, they took their bags to the cabinet
"How did you manage to convince him to come along?"
"He has free time, so he's here to keep me company, anything to run away from all the girls chasing him"
Cleo smiled and went to look at the sea 🌊 she knew this wasn't a good idea, but it was better she went along, if Ruth lost her mind, she might just be the only one sane enough to save her.

DREAM
The waves rose and fell, the moon was blood red, the ocean blue was a thick red, she heard loud horrific cries coming towards her, the longer she stared at the red moon 🌑🌗🌕the more pain she felt, when she went into the water she saw someone the blurry face became clear
REALITY
Ruth woke up trembling, this was the first time in two and a half years that she's dreamt, she gently rubbed her eyes, Yeon was no where to be found, her heart but rapidly, she was afraid, what if something happened to him? He came in with a large seed weed kind of basket and inside it were different fishes
"Hope you slept well?"
"I did"
"You must eat, we have a long journey ahead and we are not stopping"
She nodded unable to smile, her dream was bothering her, what was going to happen to Lonely Coast, was this the same dream Carmen had? Who was that mermaid? She bit through a small fish 🐠 and sigh
"Are you okay?"
"Am fine... I just have a lot on my mind"
"Everything will be fine"
Yeon said and started combing her hair with his fingers, it was smoothing, she lean back while he worked on her hair, she smiled, she was really happy that he was here beside her, she didn't want to face this alone.

Dorothy looked at her screen, she didn't know how, but Ruth and Yeon were really deep in the water, where they in s submarine or what? Or was Cleo crazy theory of them being Mermaids true, she took a deep breath and inhaled the salty air, Normally she would have thought Ruth and Cleo to be crazy nut jobs, but each time she recalled that faithful day a shark almost ended her life, and the fish that had distracted the shark, she had divided theories, if Cleo was right, she's just made the biggest discovery known to man. There was no night that passed by that she didn't relive that faithfully day, the fear, jet's barking, that day has become a nightmare, maybe she was becoming a nut job like Cleo and Ruth. To prove that she was sane she had to find Ruth, by all means.

They were closer to Lonely Coast now, she felt really relieved, the journey had been tedious, they had to take longer routes to reach here. Once they reached the borders she remembered what Zifa had said to her

"Listen to me Ruth, you must close the borders of Lonely Coast before then"
"How?"
"Go to Fawn, she guides John, only she can help you, you can't waste anymore time Ruth"
PRESENT
Close the Borders of Lonely Coast, how? As though he could sense her tension, Yeon took her hand in his

The borders of Lonely Coast was two very huge and tall stones, that stood deep in the ocean like towers, the stones were above the waters, if you were on a boat or a ship, you'll have to pass in between the stones to enter Lonely Coast, any where beside the middle passage will not lead you to Lonely Coast, it was like magic, once you pass the entrance, you see the huge Island that stands in the middle of Lonely Coast, But the stones were not visible to Human eyes, that was why Lonely Coast was a lost cause for Humans, no Man alive knew they existed or that in between those stones was a passage to a new world, unknown to man, She swam in with Marco, the ocean at this side felt warm, like home, she wasn't the only one happy to be home
"What tribe are you from?"
She asked as they swam to the direction of her Carmen's tribe
"I doubt if you'll know, my kind are rare"
"Your kind? I believe we are all of the same kind, like the humans, they are all humans, just some of us come from different tribes with different tail colors, aside that we are the same"
He seemed surprised by her ideology, he smiled at her, making her chest warm
"You feel that way?"
"I do"
"Maybe it's because you live with the humans, believe me when I say this that it is not so with 'our Kind'
He emphasized on the Our Kind to make his point

Cleo, Dorothy and Lee stared at the long, smooth stones that towered above them, they were beautiful, on them were encryptions, and drawings, if she were close enough maybe she could read what was written on it, but she couldn't do that from where she was
"Should we enter?"
Lee asked hesitant, Dorothy thought for a minute, this was it, after weeks of traveling they were finally here"
"Dora, it's not too late to turn back"
"No... we've come this far, we can't go back, let's go in"
"Dear God this feels like Pirates of the Caribbean"
Lee said and went through the passage, the fear that gripped his heart once he entered was replaced by awe, as he beheld the wonders of LONELY COAST
