It has been almost a month since that incident in the mall.

I was looking forward to Jungkook telling me the truth.

It was morning now and I laid his plate of breakfast on the table as he came downstairs.

It felt empty. Almost numb.

"Hmm." grabbing the dishcloth I turned to leave.

His large palms embraced my wrists not letting me go.

I turned to face him.

His eyes widened. Worry written all over his face he stood up and came close to me.

" You have grown pale. Are you alright? Are you sick-"

"I am. Eat your breakfast. Your getting late for work-"

"No. I am taking a leave." He said grabbing his phone. "Let's go to the doctor together."

"No" I grabbed his phone. " You go to work. I'll go on my own"

"But..."

"Don't worry. I've got used to it."

"Used what?"

"Looking after myself." I said , pulling my wrist out of his grasp. " Go to work, Jungkook. Be careful."

I turned, placing the dishcloth in the sink and walking upstairs to our bedroom.

Sometimes I almost forget.

He had replaced me.

He has given up.

I turned behind to look at him. Surprisingly he was looking at me with the most saddest look on his face.
