"...Mika can you promise me something? Please take good care of our siblings, can you do that for me?"

Ray immediately knew what (y/n)'s intention is; he promised Norman to protect her no matter what. "You're coming with us even if you don't want to!"

"I'm sorry but I can't. Here, my thank you gift for you two. My siblings are chaotic sometimes but I hope you all get along. Goodbye..."

"Welcome back, (y/n)" her mom smiled at her with her arms wide open.

It feels like time slowed down with every steps she takes. Tears started to fall down slowly...as her mom waited for her hug. "My dear child..." (y/n) hugged her tightly, resonating their now lonely home with her painful sobs.

"Who would call me this early in the morning?" (y/n) mumbled, picking up her phone 'If it's him again I swear I'd kill him!'

"(y/n)-"

"If you're worried that I might try to kill myself again no I'm not doing it. It's been a year Ray..don't worry about it, bye" she hangs up the call.

Ray sighed as he put his phone down, staring at the gift he bought for her.

To be honest he is still worried about her. He's scared that he'll lose her, (y/n) is her dearest friend after all. He don't want to let her go again like in the past...

"Norman...I'll keep my promise now, I'll protect her for you and I will never let her go again"

(y/n) was about to jump from the bridge when suddenly she felt someone pulled her back. "Don't" said the person. Ray hold her like she'd let go. "Why...?" he asked as his lips tremble, he's holding back his tears.

She slowly lifted her hands, clutching Ray's shirt. "I'm tired Ray..." her voice sounds dull but deep inside it's full of pain. Ray felt that. "Do you know that feeling when you still clearly remember your past life? Because that's how I feel. My past life is full of painful memories and I don't want to remember it"

Ray told (y/n) to meet him at the cafe where he's working, he said he has something to give to her.

"What's the occasion Ray?" (y/n) questions, sitting in front of him. "For you..." he simply said giving the gift at her. She looked at him confused but accept the gift anyways. "A gift? But why? It's not my birthday or anything..." Ray looked away from her. It seems like he's blushing slightly.
