Part 1 Chapter 3 The Emergency Message

Fury's narration

It didn't take much more than a year before that blue spike head to be rescued and brought over to the Resistance.

The whole army had hope now, but I obviously didn't care if we got him back or not.

If he got his team to take on Infinite earlier, all of this suffering could've been avoided.

Either way, thanks to him and some guy called the Rookie, we had Eggman and Infinite on the run.

We were gaining ground and closing in on the Eggman Empire, just in time to crush them in one major battle.

But me and the guys were going to trail off to deal with another threat.

A secret mission that required special hands.

Normal POV

Resistance Medical Bay

Hip just got out after getting his parts readjusted to not malfunction for the next few days.

He was honestly getting tired of having to calibrate them over and over, just to avoid falling over or hitting someone.

Bopper waves at him and walks over. "Hey Hip! Did you hear the news? The big guy is back! And we're winning against Eggman!"

Hip smiles as he feels his wrist. "Awesome! Now we can finally kick his butt for good and get some peace for once."

Bopper nods. "Yeah. What's your plan after this?"

Hip shrugs and leans against a wall. "I don't know, I still got one or two years left of high school before I go get a job."

Bopper pats his head. "Hey, if you can't find any work, I'll ask Joey if I can hire you to help out. You'll get a pretty big budget from the wins I make."

Hip smiles back at him. "Thanks, but I need to wait to see where dad plans to move us after the war. We lost our old house and may need some place new to live."

Bopper nods in understanding. "I understand, buddy. Just let me know if you need anything."

Suddenly, both Hip and Bopper's headsets received an urgent message.

Meanwhile in the Resistance Hangar...

Kyle was busy cleaning off one of the airships that the Resistance used in air combat.

He had gotten this job as punishment for disobeying orders when he went to blow up an enemy position solo.

The wolf looks at the Chao and Lightning Wisp helping him clean off the ship. "Do you guys think this is the worse? Having to take orders from idiots who just got the job out of the blue?"

Both of his buddies nod in agreement, knowing they also had to help Kyle with whatever orders he took.

Kyle sighs while complaining. "I mean, these guys couldn't get us to win a single battle, yet we're supposed to trust their decisions. The only reason we're gaining on Eggman is because that "hero" of ours was rescued from the Death Egg."

He then groans as he wipes off more dirt off of the ship. "If I'm taking orders, I want it to be from a guy with literal brains in that head......and nuts of titanium with it."

Tito flies next to him and nuzzles his side, trying to cheer him up. "Chao Chao Chao."

The Lightning Wisp quickly flies around and cleans a good portion of the ship before acting like he was flexing muscles.

Kyle smiles and chuckles before petting Tito's head. "I guess I can't stay mad whenever you guys are around."

Then one of the elephant Mobians from Kyle's rescue mission came over to him to visit.

He tells the green wolf. "Mr Howler, are you well in these times?"

Kyle looks over at him. "I'm doing the best I can handle. What can I do for you?"

The elephant tells him. "I just came to thank you again for saving my son and returning him to me. You have no idea how much it means to me and my family."

Kyle shakes his head. "Seeing that kid with a smile and a family is all I need right now."

His guest nods. "I understand. My people are searching all over Mazuri for an Eggman facilities that might have your sister in them, but the doctor seems to have evacuated everything from our country."

Kyle sighs and looks down in disappointment. "Thanks for the help....I'll try to cope with this any way I can."

The elephant leaves afterwards, giving Kyle time to continue his work.

Suddenly, Kyle's headset went off, telling him that he was receiving an urgent message.

The Message

This an emergency call from Commander Abraham Hall of G.U.N

If you are receiving this, we have either evacuated some of our bases...

...or we've been wiped out by Eggman.

Hopefully our men and our systems were able to transfer the data to at least one of you, because this information is critical.

We found a way to leave Eggman reeling from the war for years at least.

Attached to this message is the location of Eggman's secret factory and warehouse, to which he kept the location free from his own database.

Inside is enough robots and weaponry to pick Eggman up right where he started again, even with brand new metal doppelgängers too.

If this isn't destroyed after Eggman's secret weapon is terminated, then the mad doctor will just invade again with a more weak defense facing against him.

The coordinates are lined up on the equator, which is why standard and advanced forms of tracking can't find it.

Somewhere along the 0 degrees longitude and 0 degrees latitude is the place, which hopefully won't take long to find.

Build a small campaign to attack the facility while Eggman is busy with the main force, and maybe even spare at least one airship too.

The fate of the world is the Resistance's hands now.

Don't let everyone down.
