"Uncle Leo, will you stop?" I yelled at uncle Leo who's giddily singing the theme song of Dora the Explorer.
It would've been nice, since he's Spanish and all, but his voice sounds raspy like a motor of an engine full of rust. And his lyrics aren't exactly the same as the original, so I had to yell at him to stop since he probably can't hear me over the wind.

"Aye! Sing with me Amiga!" he said and continued with his song and clapping and goofing and I groaned and covered both my ears.
This is way unhealthy for my ankle.

We start descending and as soon as I look down, the green hills of Long Island are right below me.
Just kidding, it's fifty feet below and looking down has completely made me nauseous.
I tried to look up but it didn't help either, it just made my stomach turn even more causing me to gag.
If there's one thing I hate about being a demigod, except for the monster fighting, its that you inherit your parents' phobia.

My dad, the ever greatest hero of his time, said to have defeated the Titan Kronos defending Mount Olympus, has the worst phobia of flying into the skies because apparently he feared that The Lord of the skies would blast him to bits.
It didn't really do me much good.

"Hold tight, young one!" uncle Leo yelled from behind me as we descended into the great valley of camp half-blood.

Soon as we reached stable ground I quickly jumped off uncle Frank's back, landing on my other good leg.

"I hate flying!" I said, dusting myself off and readjusting my bow from my back.
It hasn't turned back into a backpack, probably because it's been well damaged.

Uncle Frank gave this to me as a present for my fifth birthday. Said it used to be his, and ever since then my parents have been scolding him for ever giving me these bows because then I have had the idea of using them instead of a mightier weapon which is a sword. But honestly, I have been fancying bows and arrows ever since my mom taught me how to sing my ABCs. Uncle Frank just gave me a really cool present.

"You know what, your dad used to say that all the time. Back in the day when we sailed with my ship, the Argo II..." uncle Leo trailed off, phantomiming battle scenes from when he and six other demigods, including my parents, have traveled the world to battle the earth mother aka my great-great-grandmother or something and saved the world. I don't really want to dwell on that because my mom said she's really evil and I wasn't born at the time yet, so I don't really want to dwell with memories of the past.

A black wind whooshed from above us, and when I focused on it I realized it has wings and four legs.

"Ninja!" I yelled, as a recognition of my pegasus. "Ninja! Come here, boy!" I shout happily, with my hands spread wide, welcoming my best four-legged friend.

The pegasus landed in front of us, startling uncle Leo back to his senses, and by senses I mean fire in his hands. He does that when he's nervous.

"Woah there, buddy. Never sneak up on me like that!" he remarked.

"He didn't sneak up on you, you were just busy." I answered, half-running half-limping towards Ninja.

As I approach, the blonde-haired boy riding him jumped off and ran in my direction.

"You are so dead, Diana!" he yelled but I disregarded him and ran straight for my horse.

I wrapped my arms around Ninja's neck, feeling his muzzle on my face. ' His black coat still smells like toasted bread and dirt, and horse stables.

"Buddy, I missed you!" I said, patting his back.

And I missed you too, little one. He answered, in Horse originally but I just translated that for you because mostly Horse language includes a lot of neighing and breathing and stomping feet.
