"Our young prince Ho-tep died at the tender age of eighteen, but the ancient Egyptians viewed death as merely a journey into another world." Mr. G explained.

"Uh, what's with the ancient supperware?" Ethan asked, raising his hand.

"Oh, you know the expression, "you can't take it with you"? Yeah, well, they didn't. Anyways, uh, this gift-wrapped fellow here was, uh, arranged to marry a pharaoh's daughter. But when he refused because he wasn't in love with her, the pharaoh had him executed." Mr. G continued.

"Bet she had one killer unibrow." Benny snorted as I hid my face in Ethan's shoulder to cover my laughter. Sarah punched his arm and I laughed even more. Ethan squeezed my hand with a chuckle.

"According to these hieroglyphics, he vowed to never enter the afterlife without his true love." Mr. G read the paper. "It's either that, or these are cleaning instructions."

"Can I make a mummy for extra credit?" Rory piped up.

"Ooh, that wouldn't be encouraged." Mr. G frowned.

"Yes! That wasn't a no." Rory whispered.

"Anyways, guys, that is the end of the tour. But, uh, feel free to stay around as long as you like." Mr. G smiled.

Everyone started to leave. "Or, you could leave, 'cause that's okay too."

Sarah sighed with a smile. "He actually chose death over a life without love. That's so romantic."

"It probably got less romantic when they bottled up his organs." Ethan added.

"It was sweet. He wanted to find his soulmate, like I did." I kissed Ethan's cheek. "Hey, I'm going to go check out the gift shop. I saw some really cool designs based on Egyptian jewelry. I'll see you guys later."

"Pardon me, I came from the museum. I wanted to return this to you." a boy walked up to me the next day. He held up a necklace that I was wearing when I was at the museum.

"Thanks!" I beamed. "This necklace was really important to me. But, how did you know it was mine?"

"The gems, they sparkle like your eyes." he smiled smally.

"Can you show me around? And possibly, introduce yourself to me?" he asked shyly.

"Sure." I smiled warmly.

"So, do you like going to school here?" Hottie started as we sat at a table.

"Of course. It's a very friendly school. I've been in this town for as long as I can remember, and I really enjoy it here." I said with a bright smile. "Do you go to school here?"

"No, I do not, but I am considering it." he shook his head.

He studied me for a moment. "You're different from the other girls I've met in this school."

I stiffened slightly. "What do you mean by that?"

"You're nicer, and you give off a different energy than others. Not to mention more beautiful than a clear, starry night." Hottie explained.

"I'm not very different. Just a normal, average girl." I shook my head at his observations.

"No, really. You're so different." he tried to reach for my hands.

I removed them from the table. Hottie took a deep breath. "If you'd like to continue, I'd really like to get to know you better."

"Listen, I have to get back to my brother and my boyfriend, but it was-"
