CHAPTER 1

A/N: Well this is my first fan fic. So, there might be some grammar and spelling errors (P.S I am horrible at spellings) and I request you all to comment if find any mistakes and I will edit and correct. Also, pls don't use foul language in the comments. BTW in this story some plots do not match the real plots in the original series. For e.g. Sophie will come to know that Oralie is her biological mother but Sophie is not unmatchable. Alright now to the story.

~~Sophie POV ~~

"Wake up" said Edeline.

"5 more minutes mom." I said in sheepish manner.

"Don't want to go to Foxfire today?" Edeline said in a teasingly manner.

"Oh no, I am late" I yelled and jumped out of bed and accidently activated Vertina.

"looks like someone is late again" teased Vertina.

I jumped at voice though it has been years having Vertina in my room I still got scared when she speaks out of nowhere.

"yeah yeah, ok now can you help me with hair?" I asked.

Soon I was ready to go to Foxfire. I ate my breakfast, helped Grady to feed Verdi and then ran to my leapmaster and yelled "FOXFIRE"

I reached Foxfire and met my friends we all greeted each other and went to our classes.

After a few classes the bell rang indicating the it was time for the lunch.

~~Time Skip~~

After the lunch I ran to my locker to check and double check by schedule. I had telepathy which was with Fitz. We are a to be cognates pair but still we both are holding back a secret. Well I don't know his secret but I hiding my massive crush on him. Yes, I know we both have defeated the Neverseen and gone under many difficulties but I am still nervous that what if he doesn't like me back? I am not able to build up courage to tell him but I have to tell him right cause we are cognates so I decided to tell him today.

The bell rang indicating that there are 2 minutes left for the class to start so I practically ran for the class and reached in time.

(A/N transmissions will follow the same rule of italics for Sophie and bold for Fitz)

Just in time huh. Fitz's voice came to my head.

Well I zoned out for a bit near my locker I replied.

I see you are recently getting zoned out lot. Anything I can help with?

I thought about the secret I had been holding for a long time.

Hello you there?

What do you mean?

Well you just served the connection for a bit.

Oh I am sorry about that.

Anyways I was asking that is there anything I help you with?

Well not really but I think need a bit help from you.

"Am I interrupting something?" Tiegan cleared his throat behind

I quickly severed the connection and said "NO, nothing."

Then I quickly transmitted to Tiegan

Can ask you a favour? I knew I was acting very nervous

Is something wrong? Tiegan voice was serious

There is nothing wrong, I... umm decided to tell Fitz-

OK I get it. You know that I am also a telepath, right? Tiegan teased a bit

Ok I get you so can you do it?

Of course. Why will I not do it? It is good for your cognate relation and you both have almost completed your training.
