It was odd for Sirius to sincerely compliment Remus. Unless it was a full moon and the werewolf needed a pick-me-up of course. Usually, they would always be jokey compliments. Something that didn't really mean anything.

(Even though Sirius did always mean it on some level, he would never tell Remus that)

But the words Sirius had said to him yesterday weren't nothing. Not only had they made Remus buzz with happiness, but they were also real. As real as it could get. And Remus knew that. There was no one around to watch or hear their conversation, meaning what Sirius had said was genuine. For a moment, what they had there in that pub, wasn't fake.
