Song: Stupid With Love - Mean Girls (the Broadway Musical)

Tommy boy sits on his bed, looking through his old picture book when he comes upon a picture of a boy he once knew.

The boy's name was Alex.

He starts singing;

When I was five, I fell in love
It didn't last

He rolls his eyes, turning the page as he continues.

He ran from me
Literally ran from me
And being Kenyan, he ran fast

He sees another boy, who he had also known. His name was Jake.

He continues singing;

When I was ten, in love again
This Peace Corps guy
I waited hours
Inside his tent with flowers
Which made him laugh
Which made me cry

He closes the book, rolling his eyes again.

By thirteen I gave up trying
I decided I would be a mathematician
'Cause math is real
I memorized a lot of pi
Because addition and subtraction and division
Would never make me feel
So stupid with love

He turns around to him friends. It was lunch time, and they were talking about his crush.

Like I didn't get it
I didn't get it, somehow
Smart with math but stupid with love
I didn't get it
I didn't get it
Till now

Tommy boy was sitting at his desk, working on a Math problem, when his crush, Finch Cortes, turns around.

Finch sat at the desk in front of Tommy.

"Do you have an eraser?" Finch asks Tommy boy, who grins, happy that he's speaking to him.

"I would love to" Tommy boy answers, handing Finch his pencil. Finch smiles, turning around and using the eraser, before handing it back to Tommy boy.

Tommy boy mentally squeals, starting to sing again. (Remember, nobody notices because it's Musical Theatre logic lol.)

So thank you, math, for being there
To bring me joy
And thank you, math
'Cause now you've brought me
This cute boy!

He points to Finch, as Finch turns around again.

"Is it two?" Finch asks Tommy boy, who grins at him again. He checks his paper.

"Yes!" He answers. Finch smiles at his enthusiasm, pumping his fists in the air as he goes to write it down.

Tommy boy has to stop himself from fainting as he starts singing again, blushing hard.

He's like someone from TV
He's like that guy who gives out roses to those women
His clothes, his grooming

He points to Finch's clothes.

And he's a foot away from me
With swoopy hair and shiny eyes that I could swim in
He is live and in the room
