_~*[Chapter 4]*~_

POV: Carrot 

I paced in front of my house, waiting for Ex. We were going to the nether together, and I was shaking. I was scared of the nether. Sure, it was super pretty and striders were adorable, but when you actually go there it's SO SCARY. Like- have you even seen Ghasts???? Those things are creepy as hells! 

I heard footsteps and turned to see Ex. They were wearing iron armor, with a diamond chestplate. "Lucky." I whispered, slightly jealous. "Let's go!" Ex said cheerfully, pulling out a diamond sword. "How many diamonds do you have?!?" I asked, surprised. "Just these. It's not that much-" Ex said hastily. "I have a maximum of 0 diamonds. You should be proud." I tried to say in the nicest voice possible. I don't know if I got that message across.

"Are you ready?" Ex asked, gesturing to the portal on the other side of the lake. "Yes." I replied. We took the short walk to get to the nether portal. I sighed, pulling out my iron sword. "Fist bump for good luck?" I asked, putting up my fist. "Sure!" Ex replied, giving me a fist bump. After that we walked into the portal. A sinking feeling of fear entered my body as we entered. I tried to side step my way out of the portal, but it was to late. I was thrust into the nether.

POV: Ex 

I stepped out of the portal... directly into lava. I yelped, jumping out and falling through the portal to the other side. Turns out I hit Carrot, and we toppled to the ground. "OOF!" Carrot yelped out loud. "Get off of me!" She squished out. "Sorry!" I hastily replied, rolling off of her and trying not to go into lava. As Carrot got up, I looked around. We were surrounded in basalt, a few blackstone blocks here and there. I assumed Carrot mined out all the blackstone. Lava poured out a a corner nearby, and it looked like Carrot mined just a tad to much there. 

Carrot put her hand out to me. "Stand up, we gotta explore." She said sarcastically. I grabbed her hand and used it to push myself up. "Follow me!" Carrot said happily. I nodded. She led me around some spikes made of basalt, into a flat area made of basalt, blackstone, and lava. She led me to the edge of the platform, pulling out some dirt. "I want to see other biomes." Carrot whispered. I nodded, looking down to see a giant poll of lava far below, with more basalt and blackstone. 

Ṕ̷̤̦̟͈̫̗̣̰̪̏̐̉̔̌͠͝ų̴͇͕̩̫̅̃̂s̵̨̛̪̳͈̝̀h̸̘̘͍͙̘͎͇͋͆̅̐͜ ̷̢̧̺̯̎̅̎͗̄̓h̴͍̄͝ė̸̬̺̺̲̬̳̗̑͐̃̆̉̋͝ŗ̵̗͉̝̙̜̈̏̋.̶̖͓̟͊͗̃̂͝

I jumped as the thought entered my mind, but then I heard the shriek of both a Ghast and Carrot. I whipped around to see many magma cubes after us, and a Ghast above us. "THIS ISN'T VERY POGGERS!" Carrot yelped in fear. We swung our swords, but the magma cubes kept multiplying. One pushed Carrot off, she slipped, and suddenly she was only hanging on by one hand. "THIS IS EXTREMELY NOT POGGERS!" Carrot exclaimed. 

At that point, I don't know what happened. A magma pushed me, and weather it be some primal instinct, panic, or just plain mistakes, I put my foot on Carrot's hand and shoved it backwards. She fell, as I did too. "DUDE WHY???" She screeched as we fell in the lava. "TAKE OF YOUR ARMOR, IT WONT BREAK THAT WAY!" She screamed as we fell in with a splash.

For some reason I did as I was told, as heat blasted every cell in my body. I took a sharp inhale and-
