POV: third
Something spawned in a tree, quickly rolling off. "𝙹∴." They whispered upon hitting the ground. As much as they wanted to just lay there, they knew much better that they should explore. They hadn't been outside in so long. The person pushed themselves up, shaking slightly as they did.
They walked out of the shade of the canopy into moonlight. There was a nether portal, it's bright purple glow intoxicating. A calm lake nearby, and an assortment of man-made things on the other side. But they knew better then to look. They knew better then inspecting any of those things.
The person just sat down against a tree, really not caring how uncomfortable it was. They stared blankly at the place around them, not a single tired cell in their body. Mechanical whirs filled their head, a both calming and traumatic noise. They felt nothing besides the pure vastness of it all.
They should be grateful. By all logic, they should be cheering with a big smile on their face. They'd escaped. But, they just weren't built that way. They weren't built to be happy. And at that they should be mad. They should be mad that their own creator kept them unhappy. Yet it was forbidden. Forbidden to me mad. Forbidden to speak your own mind!
Oh no. Here they went again. Hopefully their creator wouldn't be here. They hoped with all their heart that they were actually free, and not just going to be trapped again. A low grumble came from their voice box. They tried looking at their surroundings to calm themselves down. It was so pretty, in all honesty.
But the light. They hadn't seen light other then their own glowing eyes in ages. They almost forgot how many different colors there were. The purple glow of the nether portal, the torches scattered about, oh the moonlight! They'd been deprived of this, and they knew they didn't need it, but... it was just so nice. They really needed it right now.
They smiled for the first time in ages, and tried to take it in. It was hard, since they were programmed to be unhappy and stay unhappy, but they tried their best. 'ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ 𝙹リꖎ|| ℸ ̣ ⍑╎リ⊣ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᔑℸ ̣ ∴𝙹⚍ꖎ↸ ᒲᔑꖌᒷ ℸ ̣ ⍑╎ᓭ ʖᒷℸ ̣ ℸ ̣ ᒷ∷ ╎ᓭ ᒲ⚍ᓭ╎ᓵ.' As the thought crossed their mind they shook their head. They should be grateful, not asking for more. But they couldn't help but think of a song playing in this scenery, the melody bringing out fireflies or something else aesthetic.
They decided to place their hand on the ground and tap their finger along with the mechanical whirs in their head. It wasn't a good song, since it was all static and unchanging, but it was one nonetheless. Despite their own knowledge, they started to hum. It sounded like a heartbeat monitor, but on a flatline. Yet they continued. They loved song, and by all means they couldn't make it, but of course they tried anyways.
It was starting to turn day, the sunlight just as welcome as the moon. They continued their terrible song, but enjoyed it. They could hear the creak of a door and stopped humming, turning to see someone walking out. That had a light lilac mask (ᔑℸ ̣ ꖎᒷᔑᓭℸ ̣ ╎ℸ ̣ ∴ᔑᓭリ'ℸ ̣ ᔑ ∴ᔑℸ ̣ ᓵ⍑ᒷ∷ ᒲᔑᓭꖌ), a beige turtleneck, and some blue oversized jeans. The person who came out of the door looked up to see the other person.
"Oh hi! What's your name?" They asked, walking over. The other person looked up. They understood that language, although they didn't like to speak it. "∷𝙹ʖ𝙹."
