Everything went black. I could hear and feel everything. But I could see nothing. My heart slowed and I became dizzy. I was loosing blood fast. I heard fighting going on, someone was fighting. Then it suddenly stopped. I felt someone picking me and I prayed to god that it wasn't that man. That it was anyone else but him.
"Alexandra?" Ah, I must be closer to death than I thought. I heard the silky smooth voice of Ian. It was farther than I thought it should be though.
Then I heard another voice I didn't recognize. "She'll be fine Ian. Relax." I felt wind, like someone was running, fast, while carrying me.
I heard Ian's voice again, closer this time. "Alexandra, your going to be fine. I promise." I drifted out. Everything was like a dream, like I was floating on a cloud.
Soon I was being awakened. It was Ian. "Alexandra? You need to wake up. You can't sleep."
"Why?" I heard my voice, but didn't realize what I was saying. "Just five more minutes please?"
I heard a small chuckle by my head. "Alexandra I'm not your father. It's Ian. You have to wake up or you might slip into a coma. Please, Alex."
I started to come back to consciousness. "What?" I started to remember everything. I sat up quickly, too quickly. My head spun and I groaned. Ian helped me to a chair. "Did you know that man? The man who attacked me?"
He sighed and looked down. "Yes, I do. Not personally, but we've run into him a few times in the past."
"We?" I was growing more and more confused by the minute.
"There's a lot about your life that you don't know. That I, unfortunately, have to tell you. Now."
I tried to stand up, but he pushed on my shoulder and made me sit. "What are you talking about? You tell me right now Ian Hollingsworth." I realized that I was on the brink of tears.
"I will. But I need you to listen to me completely and have an open mind." I just nodded my head, I couldn't speak. "When you were born, many people knew that you were destined for great things. You weren't like others of your kind-"
"My kind?" He shook his head slightly and patted my hands.
"Your from a very important generation of..." He paused and looked me in the eyes. He sighed. "Of werewolves."
I gasped and ripped away from him. "What are you talking about?"
"Please calm down Alex." He began to walk slowly towards me.
"No! Do not tell me to calm down. What your saying is.. Is... Insanity. Pure insanity."
"Alex. If you don't want to walk out these doors and get killed you need to listen to me!" I was against the wall listening as he yelled. He calmed down a bit before he continued. "Your foster parents, they agreed to take care of you until this day came. And yes you have been living with foster parents. Your real parents are Estonian. The man who attacked you killed them soon after they sent you here. I was sent to protect you. To watch over you..." What he said from then on out was just a blur. Nothing he was saying was making since.
This man I had met just the day before was telling me that I had been living a lie the last nineteen years. That nothing I had been told was true. That everything I had always believed in, but at the same time didn't, was real. I blacked out again.
