I Need A Hero

>We being on the angsty coaster as we near the stories completion. 

It was 4 AM when Luz woke up. She rubbed her eyes. She looked to her side and froze, Amity's sleeping face was right beside her. Her chest moved up and down as her breath's tickled Luz's nose. Luz went red as Amity snuggled closer, the green witch shook in her dreams. Tears dripped from her eyes. Luz put an arm around Amity and pulled her closer, trying to remember last night. Last night, after the party. Skara and Willow had gone home together, their houses only half a block apart. Gus and Boscha had gone out to cause some trouble. Or Boscha had gone to cause trouble and Gus was dragged along. Finally Amity had come over to watch the Azura Halloween special. Then stayed over for a sleepover, Luz began to panic. But then stopped short, Amity's face was inches away. Tears still streamed down her perfect face. Luz wiped Amity's tears away and with a soft smile, forced herself to relax. She felt herself drifting to sleep, her arms naturally wrapped around Amity.

It was 7 AM when Amity woke up.
She needed water, but when she tried to rise, she failed. She was trapped, confused she looked to the side and saw Luz's sleeping face. Amity could feel her face glow red, as Luz pulled her closer. Her heart raced, her throat was dry and her fingers twitched. She placed a hand on Luz's cheek, feeling her warmth. Luz's face moved closer as Amity relaxed into her arms. Water could wait.

It was 8:30 AM when Eda sent Lilith to wake the kids.
Lilith walked into the room. She saw Luz and Amity snuggled together. "Breakfast can wait" She said quietly as she closed the door.

It was 10 AM when King ran into the room screaming.

"Luz!" He cried. Luz and Amity woke up startled. King jumping into Luz's arms.

"What's wrong?" Luz asked her little friend.

"Eda! something is wrong with Eda!" He screamed.

Luz stroked King's head as Amity rolled her eyes. The green haired witch opened the door then stumbled back.

"Willow?" Luz asked standing up. She walked towards her friend but was stopped by Amity.

Willow's eyes were gold. Her smile crooked. Her eyes glowed as she stepped closer, from behind her Gus, Eda. Lilith and Boscha stumbled up the stairs. Their movement jagged and rigid. Horrified, Amity slammed the door in Willow's face. She pushed her back against the door and looked at Luz horrified.

"Luz I'm scared." King said snuggling closer into the human.

"What do we do?" Amity asked as the door thumped. They were trying to get in!

Luz ran and slammed her shoulder into the door, ramming it close. King hopped out of Luz's arms and pushed against the door. He didn't contribute much, but he was trying.

Luz's mind raced as she tried to think of a solution. The thumping at the door stopped. Luz, Amity and King froze. Then the door smashed open. Sending all three flying. Boscha stood at the door, her hands burning. Eda and Lilith hissed as they lunged for their proteges. Gus and Willow lurched forwards. Their bodies twisting, blood spilling out of their mouths.

Amity sent out an abomination, the creature pushing everyone backwards before sealing the door with goop. "I can't hold them forever." Amity said as she pushed her arms forward. Focusing her magic to keep her friends away.

"King?" Luz asked, her furry friend was standing still. Slowly he began to laugh. His voice cackled against the walls, he turned his eyes glowing. He lunged at Amity, clawing at her face. Amity tried to pull him off, keeping one hand in the air. Trying to stay focused on her spell.

"No!" Luz screamed as she grabbed King and ripped him off Amity. "Sorry King." Luz whispered as she threw him into her closet. Luz grabbed a chair and jammed the door close. Trapping King as he scratched at the door. Amity gritted her teeth as she bled from her head. King's claw marks in her head. Luz wrapped her arms around Amity's neck, snuggling the witch.

"Luz No, I can't concentrate!" Amity hissed as she tried to focus.

Luz stayed in her place. "It's okay Amity, you can let them in." Luz whispered into Amity's ear. Luz pulled Amity closer, not letting go. Her arms were tightening on Amity's neck.

Amity began to cough as she lost her breath. By the time she realized what had happened, it was too late. Amity lost her concentration for half a second. But that half a second was all their friends needed. Boscha, Willow, Gus, Lilith and Eda all crashed through the door. Descending onto Amity like zombies.

Amity's eyes began to glow, there was no one left.
