Chapter 3- Friends
<<<<<<<Drew's POV>>>>>>
When I was in the taxi on the way to the Simmons house, I can't lie, I was nervous. I haven't seen the guys in a couple of years. For all I know they could have changed completely. The taxi pulled up in front of a large Victorian style home, and I remembered it instantly. I got out and went to the trunk to grab my luggage and the guys came rushing out to greet me.
"Drew, what's up man?" Connor asked.
"Long time no see" Nate said.
"Yeah, it's been awhile' I said as I went around and hugged all the guys. Things haven't changed a bit. "Thank you guys for letting me stay with you"
"It's no problem Andrew" Carter said while he hugging me back.
"Hey, where is Parker?" Mason asked his brother Finn.
"She's upstairs, I told her dinner will be done soon" Finn responded.
"I'll call her down" Carter said as he headed toward the house.
Honestly, I could never forget Parker, I've just been trying not to think about her. I know the triplets can be very protective of her. I'd be surprised if they even let me talk to her. I remember her as a child. We played all the time, the triplets would never let her play with them, so I always made sure she was included. I spent a lot of time with her as a child and it only made her brothers angrier. As I was remembering a childhood memory Connor snapped me back to reality.
"Don't even think about it, Collins" Connor said.
I looked at him confused. "What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Stay away from Parker, Drew" Mason said
"We actually have some rules that we need to set between you and Parker" Nate said.
I looked at the three brothers and said "I would never hurt Parker, you don't have to worry about that"
"Then we are on the same page, right? You aren't going to talk to Parker." Connor said.
Wow they really are over protective I thought. "I don't think that's really possible...we are going to be living in the same house." I said. The brothers were all glaring at me. "Look, you can't protect her from everything, the least you can do it trust you best friend with her" I said
"If you can't trust me being around her, then you obviously won't be able to trust a stranger around her" I said.
'You know, Drew is right guys" Finn said. "You can't control everything she does she is a 17 year old girl. Let her live a little"
"Fine, whatever" The triplets all said in unison. Which was kinda creepy. I hope they don't do that all the time.
We all walked into the dining room where Carter was setting the table, then all of a sudden I see this beautiful girl in front of me. She has the pale blue eyes that all of her brothers have, and her hair hangs loosely down her back. She is wearing a sky blue dress that hugs her body in all the right places. My guess is that this is Parker. She is no longer the little baby anymore, she grew up into a beautiful girl.
"No, no, no" the triplets said again in unison. They have got to stop doing that.
I look over and find Parker staring at me so I stare right back, and I can feel my smile grow larger. Then all of a sudden Parker is picked up by Finn and he started taking her upstairs, ignoring her protests.
After a few minutes Finn comes back downstairs, and without talking we begin to eat again. Toward the end of the meal Carter asks "So Drew, how was your flight?"
"It was good, I'm a little tired though" I responded.
"Oh yeah, I'm sure you could use a nap. The guys and I have some errands to run I'm sure Parker wouldn't mind showing you to your room" Carter said.
Wow, I'm surprised that they would actually leave me alone with Parker, but I'm not complaining. I look over and see Finn giving me a 'don't even think about' it look.
"Yeah sure" Parker said, agreeing to show me to my room.
Twenty minutes later here I am in my room trying to unpack, but all I can think about is Parker. I know I shouldn't be thinking about her, but it's kinda hard not to. I know I should stay away and respect her brother's wishes but I don't think I can do that. I'm just going to go with whatever happens. If it happens then it happens.
Besides, I haven't seen Parker in years. I really know nothing about her. I would like to get to know her better, but she deserves someone better than me. My past is always going to be there with me and I don't want Parker involved with it. I promised her brothers that I would never hurt her, so I'm going to try my best to keep the past behind me.
She probably doesn't even feel the same way about me, but when our hands touched and we both looked at each other I could tell that she could feel something too.
I'm not very good with girls, I've never had a girlfriend, I've never kissed a girl, and I'm definitely a virgin. I was too busy dealing with my parents to even think about girls. What 18 year old boy has never kissed anyone? I'm sure Parker wouldn't want to be with someone as inexperienced as me. Urgh! I need to stop thinking about her.
I finally finished unpacking, and I have never felt more exhausted in my life. I don't have to worry about my parents anymore, maybe I can fall asleep peacefully. I fell asleep a couple minutes later thinking about Parker with a smile on my face.
