Hey there everyone. It's me, Claira. As you know, this book is finally over. After a long run with a lot of turbulence, this story is complete.
I want to take this time to thank you all so much for reading. I started this book when I was in a really dark place. My aunt and uncle had just permanently moved into my house, two people who are responsible for a lot of my past trauma. My two biggest escapes throughout this time were Eddsworld and Fire Emblem. One day I was sitting in my room and I thought "hey, why not make a crossover?" The first thing I decided was that Pau would be a swordfighter and Pat would be a cleric. One thing led to another, and soon I found myself publishing this fanfic without any prior planning.
There are a few people in specific I would like to thank. First off is my good friend who made the cover of this book. I've known her for years and she's one of the best artists I've ever met. I heavily encourage you all to follow her on Instagram. You can find her there @ elizalilly._ and she makes some really cool art. She deserves more followers so check out her page if you can.
Secondly is those who consistently left comments on this book. Reading the comments has been the best part about this experience, and hearing what you all have to say is so much fun. I often go back through this book and look at all the comments that people have left because it means so much to see people engaging with this story. It's made me feel like I haven't been the only one on this journey. Knowing that I have readers by my side throughout this has kept me going, and you guys are probably the main reason why I didn't completely abandon and delete this book. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your comments and thank you for your engagement.
This year has been really rough. With the pandemic happening, along with all the horrible things about this year, I turned back to this book after half a year to find solace in writing. Seeing all of you be so excited to read the update made me realize how important this story has been to myself and so many people. I love each and every one of you for sticking with me throughout all of this, and I hope this book has made all of you happy.
At the time that I'm publishing this, the sequel is already in the works, so you won't have to wait long for the first chapter! You all are a lovely audience and deserve nothing but the best. I adore you all, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sticking with me and supporting this project.
