The Promise We Made After Midnight (A reverse dipcifica story)

He's a player with love...keep telling yourself that

                                                  ~Dippers Perspective~

Once Pacifica had left to hang out with Cody, my mind just would not stop moving to the passionate kiss we shared. Anytime I would think of something else such as murder, blood, torture, being king of all the dimensions...It would always come back to the same thing. Our kiss.

'Damn it...I can't do this to myself...the kiss meant nothing. She means nothing. I'm only playing with her to get the journal.' I kept repeating in my head.

"Hey I'm back. Sorry It was just my dad-Hey where did Pacifica go?" Rufina says as she gets back and notices Pazzies gone.

"She left. It was time to hang out with Cody." I say blankly staring at the sky.

"Well then, I say we go to...'Lovies Party Animals!'" Rufina says with excitement.

"Rufina...I said to you that I would not go there for a while. That was literally two weeks ago! I'm on a roll here." I say as I get up and brush the invisible dirt off my pants.

"Oh, come on Dipper. It's only one shot. I promise I won't get you drunk." Rufina says with puppy eyes.

"You say that all the time and yet I do." I say as look away from her irresistible eyes.

"Pretty Please?" Rufina begs, her eyes even more irresistible.

"Okay Fine. ONE DRINK!" I say finally giving in.

"Yay! You're the best Dipper!" Rufina says as she hugs me. I chuckle and hug back and we make our way to the bar.

                                                  ~Pacificas Perspective~

Once I got to Mr. Mcflurys Cody was already standing there waiting patiently for me. He was wearing a plain white, long sleeve shirt, with dark green overalls, and black converse.

"Hey Pacifica! Glad we could hang out today." He says with joy as I reach him. Well, thank goodness it was just a friendly hangout. All that worry was for nothing.

"Yeah me too Cody." I say with a smile on my face.

"So, lets go to Greasy's Diner. They have the best pancakes you could ask for! Come on Pacifica!" Cody says in almost a squeal as he grabs my hand and we speed walk towards the Diner. I blushed at the touch but It didn't feel the same way like when Dipper touches me.

As we were walking and talking about random things, we laughed and was just enjoying our little hangout. We were right across the street from Greasy's Diner but before we crossed the street Cody pulled out the toothpick he had in his mouth and said he was going to throw it away in a nearby trashcan. Right as he left I saw a bar we were standing in front of...But that's not all I saw...I saw Dipper...With a Girl...Kissing.

Dipper had a drink In one hand and his other on the girls waist while the girl had her arms snaked around his neck. As if on cue, hard wind started to blow and by ponytail just swayed beside me. All I could do was stare at what was happening through the window. I even felt something in my chest started to hurt...was this what heartbreak felt like? just then, Dipper and the girl stopped kissing and she just walked away as if nothing had happened. Dipper just stood there, drank the rest of his drink, and turned his head to face me.

He had his mouth open a bit, and we just stared at each other for what felt like ages. He finally started to turn his head side to side as if he was looking for someone and then back at me. He started to walk towards the door probably to see me but Cody beat him to it.

"Hey are you okay? What are you staring at?" Cody asks as he comes back to me.

I look back at the window through the bar too see Dipper bite his lip, and put the glass and some money down and just walked away, disappearing through the crowd of people inside.

"Never fall in love with a player with love." I whisper quietly to only myself could hear.

"You alright Pacifica?" Cody asks me curiously.

"Yeah I'm alright...lets go." I say as I put on my best smile and start to walk to the diner with Cody. As I was walking away I could feel a pair of icy eyes on me. I knew it was Dipper so I didn't dare to glance back.

'He's a player with love...keep telling yourself that...' I think to myself....I guess all Gleeful's are terrible people...one in particular...
