The Promise We Made After Midnight (A reverse dipcifica story)

Just those three words

~Pacifica's Perspective~

"DON'T PRESS THE BUTTON!" I hear a familiar voice say. Me and Gideon turn to meet the face of the boy who I thought I could trust...Dipper Gleeful. A couple seconds later, Mabel appears beside him.

Once I see the two twins, my face turns into a hard glare, mostly at Dipper. I felt Gideon stiffen beside me and I could see his face turn as hard as steel.

"Pazzie...just back away." Dipper says as he and Mabel slowly start to make their way toward us. But I hold my ground and stay near the red button, with my hand still above it.

"Listen Pacifica, I know all this might seem crazy but you have to trust me." Dipper says and him and Mabel are now a couple feet away.

"And I should trust you, why? After you stole my journal? After you could be manipulating me this whole time? After you stole government waste? DIPPER I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!" I shout at him, having tears prickle my eyes and Dipper and Mabel stare at me in shock and regret.

"Pacifica, Gideon...listen I know all this doesn't make sense and you're taking this the wrong way. Just let me explain." Dipper says as he steps closer to me. But suddenly the ground starts to shake uncontrollably, making me almost fall.

"Oh no! Brace yourselves!" Mabel shouts and we all suddenly start to float in the air.

~Dippers Perspective~

It was happening...the thing I feared...losing her...I couldn't lose her... We were floating about ten feet in the air, making me feel Pacifica's fear grow.

"Gideon!" I hear Pacifica shout and I saw her foot was wrapped in a long black wire.

"Pacifica, you need to shut it down!" Gideon shouts back as he pushes himself against the wall, and suddenly tackles me.

Me and Gideon start to fight, pushing, punching, and kicking each other, left and right. At one point when Pacifica was at the button, I shoved Gideon forcefully of me, making Mabel grab him.

"No Pacifica! Please you have to trust me! Just listen-" I yell as Pacifica pushed herself to the shut down button. But then the portal pushed an enough amount of force making me, Mabel, and Gideon slam into the wall.

I groaned in pain as Mabel and Gideon tried to push themselves off the wall but the force was too powerful. I looked at Pacifica, who was still at the shut down button, and saw tears float above her face as she stared at me in disappointment.

"D-Dipper...I don't even know if...you truly l-love-" She starts to say but she cut herself off by bursting into tears, surprising me, Mabel, and Gideon. "I want to b-believe you but-"

"Pacifica! I know all this seems crazy! But you know I would never use or hurt you like this! Everything I lied to you about, everything I did to you, it was for you're own protection! I did it for you Pacifica!"

"Pacifica, what if he's lying? This thing could destroy the universe! Listen to you're head!" Gideon shouts.

Pacifica looks at Gideon and then back at me. "Look into my eyes Pazzie! Do you really think I'm the bad guy?" I say with plead and hope.

"He's lying! shut it down Pacifica!" Gideon yells but me and Pacifica never take our eyes of each other.

"Dipper I..." Pacifica says as she places her hand on the button. I look at her as tears run down my face as I think the worst...but she does something I never thought she'd do...

She let go of the shut down button, causing her to float up above it and she never broke eye contact with me. "I trust you."

"Pacifica, are you fucking crazy! We're all going to-" Gideon screams to Pacifica but he was cut off by the portal shooting various colors making us shoot toward Pacifica.

Gideon seemed to have passed out since his body was floating with his eyes closed and had steady breaths. Pacifica seemed to be knocked out too my the pressure. I grabbed Mabel's hand and saw her smile a tiny bit before closing her eyes, passing out. Like sleep pulled me into a dark abyss, I closed my eyes slowly, catching a glimpse of Pacifica before everything went black...
