The Promise We Made After Midnight (A reverse dipcifica story)

~Dippers Perspective~

⚠️WARNING! There will be more cussing in this chapter and will be vaping. If you're uncomfortable with that then don't read this chapter.⚠️

"Now...are you ready for answers?" Ford asks me. I look at the ground, at Will, then back at Ford.

"Iv'e never been more ready for anything else in my entire life." I say with confidence and clench my fists together.

"Then allow me to explain." Ford says as he turns on his heal to face the portal. "I made a deal with Will long ago. A little bit before the time you and Pacificas 'past life' happened. I saw the love you had in her and I decided to take it to my advantage. You see Dipper, you and Pacifica fell in love exactly when she first came. I confronted you as I did before but you...being you tried to protect her. You being so foolish, I had to erase you, Pacifica, and Mabel's memory's." 

"Okay...but what does this have to do with the portal? And what you're explaining still doesn't make sense." I cross my arms and glared at him.

"Well, while sending Pacifica back to Piedmont with her memory erased, I waited until the day  her parents would send her back. Surprisingly only took two years. Good thing I'm a patient man. Anyway, I built this portal so I can finally rule the rest of the dimensions with you and Mabel by my side. That's why I need the journal Dipper. To complete my master plan. And all I need is you're help. But you can't tell Pacifica unless you want her to get hurt." Ford finishes explaining and turns to have the most evil look I had ever seen.

"You're insane if you think I'm going to let you manipulate me again! I'm not going to lie to Pacifica just for you to get what you want."

"I'm probably insane either way. But you already made the deal so you have no choice. Unless you want to break the deal and have me kill her instead. That's you're choice." Ford starts picking invisible dirt from his nails. "So would you rather me kill her then? I haven't done that in so long...it would actually be quite...entertaining."

"Fine...I won't tell her anything. What do you need me to do?" I said closing my eyes and take a glance at Will. But him only looking at me with sorrow.

"You know what you need to do. Get the journal. And you and Pacifica can live you're happily ever after without anything in you're way."

I didn't even respond to him. I couldn't help the feeling but feel horrible for how I was having to lie to Pacifica. But it was the only way to not get her, or anyone I loved and cared for to not get hurt. It's too late now anyway. I already made the deal.

I turned on my heal and walked out of the experiment room and made my way back to the mansion. I went up in the elevator and through the gateway in the library. I walked out of the library and  shut the door and leaned against it, closing my eyes and having a long sigh escape my lips.

"So...care to explain?" I hear beside me and I open my eyes to see Mabel.

"A bunch of bullshit just went down. I have to help this mother-fucking bitch to make sure my damn dreams don't come true. Jesus why the fuck is life so shitty." I said running my hair through my brunette locks.

"Watch you're profanity Dipper. Jesus,"

"You're telling me. Okay...it all started when..."

~A couple minutes after Dipper explains everything to Mabel~

"Wow...you're right. That's a bunch a bullshit. Sorry, it just slipped out." Mabel says scratching the back of her head as we made our way outside of the mansion so no one could hear us. We stared at the sunset in a couple minutes of silence. 

"Vape?" She asks me as she pulls out a Blue Raz Cotton Candy vape. It was my absolute favorite vape other than strawberry milkshake. Rufina told me it was better than cigarettes so I tried them.

"You know me well dear sister. When you feel like saving the world but you're fucking it up." I say as I take in a big puff and blow out a 'O' shape. Rufina taught me how to do that.

"You mean the guy who created vapes said it was better than cigarettes and less addictive when really he only got the first part correct. But at least the taste is better." She says taking a long puff and blowing out a shape similar to a heart but more of a ring.

"I guess you can say that." I sigh.

"So...you have to steal the journal and lie to Pacifica about it. I haven't known Pacifica that long but I doubt she is going to like this." She sighs shoving her vape back in her pocket.

" I hate too, but I must. I don't have a choice Mabel. Ford can kill Pazzie in a heartbeat. Or have Will do it instead. But I doubt he could based on how much of a baby he is."

"I would never have thought Will being involved in all this. I'm gonna admit, I started to like the guy."

"He comes from a family of demons and those demons lie. What did you expect." I say clenching my fists. I had to agree with Mabel a tiny bit.

"Him to come crying to you like a baby and beg for forgiveness." She says trying to blow in another puff from her vape but it was empty. She whispers a fuck under her breath and throws the vape a couple feet away.

~Mabel's Perspective~

I looked at Dipper but he wasn't looking at me. He was staring at the sunset ahead with pain in his eyes. I could tell he loved Pacifica so much it hurt him to have himself lie to her. But if I was him, I'd probably do the same thing.

I couldn't believe I was doing this again but I cared and loved Dipper a lot (Again, in a family way 😐). I couldn't help but stare at him in this pain. I stepped in front of him and hugged him. He didn't hug me back for a couple minutes but soon hugged me back.

"I hate this Mabel...I just-"

"I know, I know. But it'll all be over soon. I promise."
