Into Hiding I Go

I jolted up in bed, breathing hard. My heart was racing as I looked around in panic to find myself in my old bed before I was kidnapped and taken to the Girl's Headquarters. My breathing slowed a little but my shouders tensed up a bit as I threw the blanket off of me and swung my legs over the bed. I stood up but then immediately sat back down as my head pounded. 

"Ugh" I groaned as I rubbed my head with my fingertips. 

After a-while the pounding went away and I stood up again. I slowly walked over to the door and turned the knob. It was unlocked and I opened the door just a crack and looked out. The hallway was empty. I then opened the door the rest of the way and stepped out, looking up and down the hallway. 

My hand went up to my neck. My fingertips brushed against bare skin where the collar would have been. I walked back into the room and ran to my closet and opened the door where a full length mirror hung on the door.

My auburn hair went down a few inches below my shoulders. My blue eyes were bright and I was wearing a blue hoodie over a black tank top with a pair of shorts. I lifted my hand to make sure it was really me. I looked healthier than I had the last time. The best part of it all. No collar was around my neck. I smiled for the first time in a while.

I walked over to the door again and walked out into the hall. And followed the familiar hallways that lead to the lounge. My steps quickened as I got closer, the sound of voices traveling from the lounge and through the hallway. I stopped at a window and looked outside where darkness was setting over the trees that surrounded the school. 

Arms wrapped around my waist and my whole body tensed up. I was then lifted and spun around in a circle before being let down again. I was then spun to face the person that had just spun me. 

"Stuart!" I yelled and threw my arms around him, hugging him tightly. I was faintly aware of the sound of fast footsteps bounding down the hallway towards us.

"Good to see you awake Jess. We were getting worried that you wouldn't wake up." he said as he hugged back. 

"She's awake!" was all I heard before I was surrounded in a group hug. 

I laughed as everyone backed up. I looked around to see all the guys smiling. I hugged Josiah, who was waiting patiently with open arms. 

"I'm so sorry!" he said as we let go of each other.

"What do you mean?" I asked confused.

"I couldn't help you when you got kidnapped." he said, looking down at the floor. I lifted his chin up to look at me. 

"Hey! It was a surprise to everyone and it wasn't your fault. I should have been paying more attention. But I ran right into their trap. Don't worry about it alright?" I said to him and he nodded and hugged me again. 

Someone cleared their throat and I looked around to see Wesley standing with his arms crossed over his chest. I smiled and ran over and hugged him too. He hugged back before putting an arm on my shoulder and we headed for the lounge.

"Since you are finally awake, its time to discuss your relocation." he said as we walked into the lounge and everyone sat down on a couch which were in a square facing inward.

"Relocation?" I asked confused as I sat down. Josiah and Stuart both sat down on either side of me while Wesley sat across from us.

"Yes. Its crucial for your safety that we relocate you until Katelyn and her followers are taken down." Wesley explained as he sat back. The room was quiet as I looked around. 

"Like leaving here?" I asked as I fiddled with my hands a little bit.

"Like leaving the country. We have everything set up, down to the last ticket and where you will be living. We won't say it here, just in case spying ears are listening. As far as we know, Katelyn will be here any day now to look for you so time is not on our side." Wesley said. I took a deep breath and bit my lip. Taking in what he had just said. 

"Will I go alone?" I asked as I looked at Stuart and Josiah. 

"No. Stuart, Josiah, and Alex will all be going with you to protect you in case Katelyn finds you somehow." he said as he motioned to a guy, that I assumed was Alex, that was sitting beside him.

He had light brown hair and had black glasses that framed his light green eyes. The front of his hair was spiked up while the rest laid flat. He gave a short wave before letting his hand falling back into his lap. 

"When do we leave." I asked nodding towards the guy. 

"Tonight. You've been asleep for quite a few days. We weren't sure when you would wake up. I set up the flight as soon as I heard you were awake. So I would suggest you get ready quickly. Most of your things are already where you will be living, so there shouldn't be much to pack up." he said as he dismissed the guys. Some getting up and giving me a hug while others said their goodbyes. 

"Ok." I said as I got up. I returned the hugs and said thanks before heading for my room. Josiah, Stuart, and Alex trailing behind me. I walked into my room and grabbed my messenger and my duffel bag, putting them on my bed and began packing up what was left in my closet.

The guys waited outside the door. I looked around my room one last time as I zipped up the bags and carried them to the door. I opened it and Josiah grabbed my duffel bag, throwing it over his shoulder. I slung my messenger bag over my shoulder and we headed for the lounge. 

"Don't worry about a thing, Jessica. You'll be able to come back soon." Wesley said as we all walked out the door. A gray Jeep was parked in front of the doors already running. 

"Thanks Wesley. For everything" I said as I gave him a hug. 

"Let's go!" Stuart called from inside the Jeep. Josiah slammed the trunk shut and hopped into the back. I nodded and ran down and jumped into the Jeep. 

"Bye Wesley!" I called out the window as we drove down the gravel and out onto the rode, heading for the airport.

Hey guys! How are you guys doing? I'm doing pretty good. I hope you guys liked this chapter. The next chapter will be Jesscia's trip there and then after that the chapters will be of her life. I'm thinking about ending it at maybe chapter 25 and then making a second book of the next chapter of her life. What do you guys think?
