Still Beth's P.O.V.

I wake up to no Jack and an open window. I thought about escaping but should I? If I'm being honest I want to leave but I also want to stay. What! No! I'm not doing this! I'm leaving before I keep thinking like a mad person. I look out the window but it leads to a straight death. Nope so I guess it's the front or back door. I go down the hall and think of an excuse to be out of bed if I get caught. I will just say I couldn't find the bathroom. Well I make it to the front door and look out the window. Nobody is up or outside. This makes me anxious because this is where I could get caught then get punished. 😓 

SIKE!!!

So I'm going to leave when my gut stops me. I decide to trust my gut because it hasn't failed me yet. I decide to go to the kitchen and get in the freezer. The first thing I see is ice cream. Yaaassss! I love ice cream plus the guys owe me big for this big kidnapping issue. I get a spoon and get to the table. I start eating the ice cream which I chose was caramel truffle with a vanilla but caramel tasting ice cream with truffles mixed in. 😋

I had half the container ate when someone walked in the kitchen. I didn't even hear who it was. The lights were on so I saw it was..........

Corbyn: What are you doing up at this time?

Me: Well I woke up to Jack not being beside me so I walked around the house looking for the bathroom but never found it. I got bored trying to find it so I went to the kitchen to get a night snack. Your ice cream taste is great BTW. 

Corbyn: Oh, thank you. Do you need to use the bathroom. 

Me: Yeah. * nods *

Corbyn: Here I will show you. 

Me: Thank you. 

Corbyn took me up the stair to the second room on the right where the bathroom was. I went in to do my stuff when I found out my worst embarrassing thing. I was on my period. Luckily I had one pad in my pants. But still now I have to get one of the guys to take me to the store to get pads. Embarrassing! I get out of the bathroom to see Corbyn acting weird. He's fumbling with his fingers not looking at me. 

Me: Corbyn, R U Okay?

Corbyn: Yeah, I'm fine. I just need some sleep. 

Me: Okay. Well I should probably get back too. * Not Convinced *

I walk back to me and Jack's room in the dark. It's like this whole house is a black whole at night. There's no lights on, no lights outside, and I can't see a thing. When I get back to Jack's room I see him on the bed waiting for me. He stares at me as I open the door. He looks worried and anxious. I go to the bed and sit down gently. 

Me: R U Okay. 

Jack: Yeah I just left for a moment and when I came back you weren't here. 

Me: Oh, I went down to the kitchen and got a night snack after trying to find the bathroom. I couldn't find it but after Corbyn saw me in the kitchen he brought me to the bathroom and I did my stuff. 

Jack: Oh, that makes sense. 

Me: Hey Jack?

Jack: Hmmmm? * hums answer * 

Me: I'm a little worried about Corbyn. He was acting weird after I came out of the restroom. Like he wouldn't even look at me. He said he's fine but I'm not so sure. Idk. Maybe it's just me. 

Jack: I will check on him tomorrow. 

Me: Ok, thank you. One more thing. 

Jack: Yess? * smirking *

Me: I'm so embarrassed to say this... but can you take me to the store tomorrow. 

Jack: Why?

Me: I um..... need.....

Jack: Oh! Okay. It's nothing to worry about. We can get some tomorrow. But thanks for telling  me. 

Me: Your welcome. 😊

I laid back down and was about to fall asleep when I found the covers cold. Like freezing. I shivered then Jack looked at me. 

Jack: What's wrong?

Me: Nothing, it's just the blankets are cold. 

Jack looked at me like he contemplated something.

Jack: Do you want me to turn on the heater?

Me: Yes please. 

After he turned on the heat I went to sleep feeling safe but alert.
