The Forbidden Woods

The Forbidden Woods Summary:

    Amy always wanted to have kids and was devistated, when the doctors told her she couldn’t.  Then, she found a beautiful baby girl abandoned next to The Forbidden Woods.  Not long after that, the body of the baby’s mother was discovered, completely decomposed.  This was baffling, since, there couldn’t possibly be enough time for the body to decompose into a pile of bones, if she’d had a baby a few days ago.  But DNA confirmed it. 

    The small town of Whitmore Maine chalked it up to another dangerous mystery surrounding their woods.  The fact was, that, the woods were beautiful to look at, but they were also very dangerous.  Anyone who dared to enter the woods never came out alive and no one knew why.

    Amy and her husband Herald adopted the little girl, and named her Sarah.  Their family seemed perfect until Sarah began to have an unnatural fascination with the woods.  It scared both her parents and her friends.  Everyday, they made her promise to stay away from the woods.  Although, eventually curiosity got the best of her.  With her best friend Stacey by her side, they embarked on the biggest journey of their lives.

    All it took was a few short hours for her life to fall apart.  The woods seemed to have no affect on her but time appeared to speed up and age everything else much faster.  When it became apparent that the woods were causing Stacey to age too quickly, they quickly got out of there.  But the world they left behind had also changed.  It was like stepping into a futuristic dream world, without the dream.

    Now Sarah’s left with the heart wrenching decision to either stay with her family, or go and find the answers she had always longed for.  Though her family didn’t like her decision, they knew she couldn’t stay.  Reporters were beginning to swarm around her and a flock of crazy doctors, wanted to use her as money bait to sell her off to the highest bidder.  As much as they hated it, they let her go to keep her alive.

    With a mixture of excitement and fear, Sarah entered the woods with the hopes of finding all the answers no one could give her.  But she ends up getting more than she bargained for.
