"How can you trust her!" Diego yells in Five's face while he throws his arms in the air. I knew that he'd react this way. It's a miracle that he hasn't thrown a knife of his at the old handler yet.

Five glances back at me as if asking for my help but I shake my head softly and then turn to Klaus who has little John in his arms. John has a content smile upon his lips and giggles when I stroke his soft cheek with my fingers.

"You don't trust her do you?" Klaus asks me as he takes a step backwards, wanting his son to be as far away as possible from the old handler "That woman is mad!"

"I don't trust her anywhere near John, no, but I do think that we can handle her." I give him an honest answer to his question.

Klaus nods and looks down at his son again. A smile appears on my face when little John grabs my finger with his small fingers. They curl around my finger and hold it like they never want to let go ever again.

"I really am glad that you're John's godmother y/n. I know that you'd do everything for him in times . . . times like this." He finishes and I notice the sad expression upon his face. I know that Dave and Klaus wanted to give little John the best and safest life he can have. With everything that's happening right now, I'm sure they're frightened. This isn't the life they want for John.

"I'd give my life in order to protect this little munchkin." I say. My smile is thin but true.

John's father returns the smile and chuckles. "Don't die just yet. I could not bare to lose you." He says, making my smile widen.

"I won't. Nobody will die. That is if we succeed to find the one who's causing everything." I tell him "Make sure that the old handler doesn't come near John. Same goes for Lila. I don't trust her yet."

"Me neither and I'm not sure if I ever will. She has this. . . murderous expression upon her face all the time." Klaus mumbles as he grabs some of John his toys and a few diapers "I'll be with John in your bedroom. Inform me about the plan when you have one."

I quickly put a bottle of milk in Klaus' arms and then nod. "I will." Is all I say before I turn around and go straight to Five and Diego who are still in an argument.

"I will not work with her or her daughter! She cannot be trusted!" Diego growls at Five who's narrowing his eyes at his brother.

"Shut it!" I cut in but I get ignored by Five.

"Like we need you! We'd do perfectly fine without the knife throwing madman!" He growls back at his brother, making me breathe in deeply before raising my voice once again.

"I said shut it! All of you!" I silence everyone in the room "You all will have to work with the old handler and her daughter, if you want it or not. It's up to all of us, together, to stop this. The fires are one thing but there will be more. And when there comes more, we need to be ready! So yes, we will all need to work together. We can't miss a single person."

Everyone stays quiet, finally. Then my eyes fall upon the old handler who stands up with a wide smile upon her face.

"Yes well. . . I think, no, I know that we will need a true leader. Since I know every single detail about the end of the world and apocalypses, I do think that I would be the best to lead." She says, not caring about the many not agreeing scoffs that fill our ears.

"I think you're wrong." I take a step forward and all eyes are upon me again.

"I agree with y/n for once." I hear Luther say somewhere behind me and another nod is heard from Allison.

Vanya's eyes are upon me and I look at her without saying a word, as if needing to know what she thinks of the plan that is forming in my head. A small smile is all it takes for me to know that she stands behind me and shares the same opinion.
