Hendery falls under odd circumstances when UFO sightings and reports interrupt his life.
He is abducted by an alien with unexpected intentions, and struggles against both the urge to escape, and the urge to stay due to his newly discovered love for...
I looked down at my thumbs, moving them about each other nervously. I sat in front of his desk, avoiding any eye contact with him. He seemed like he wanted to help, it is probably too good to be true.
"Hey..." The man said as he crossed his arms. "Look up."
Complying to his words I looked up and he smiled.
"Good at listening. You have been asleep for awhile, you should eat." He nodded towards the meal placed on the desk in front of him.
"I told them to make you meals from Earth, it might not taste the same-"
"I'm not hungry..." I interrupted.
The man sighed and pressed his hand against his forehead annoyed.
"You need to get the drugs out of your system, at least drink some water. Here." He stood up and walked around the desk, holding his hand to me.
I looked at his hand and then back up at him.
Did he want me to take it?
The man tapped his foot impatiently and I hesitantly take his hand.
"Follow me" He said.
He walked across the room and stopped in front of a book case on his right.
"I was going to save it for later." He slid a book out of the case and it fell on the floor.
It was like a secret room from a movie, something I didn't think really existed. The floor rotated underneath me and I clinged onto his jacket in an attempt to not fall.
As the door rotated in a full circle I couldn't believe my eyes, I was on Earth!
I smiled widely and took in the large expansion of bright green grass and hills, trees, the smell of nature. I took a deep breath and let myself fall onto the ground, taking in the beautiful soft feeling of the grass, feeling the bright sun against my skin. I smiled at myself, feeling finally at peace for a moment.
"It was a lot of work making this, I hope you like it." The man smiled and sat next to me, looking down at me with a look of endearment and familiarity that didn't quite make sense.
"What to you mean?" I asked, a frown appearing back on my face.
"This isn't real Hendery, it's a simulation. I wanted to make you feel more at home."
"Yeah, nice try, the prank is over." The man reached into his pocket and suddenly the beautiful blue sky became grey and metallic, the floor suddenly felt cold and hard.

I shot up and looked around frantically, my brain trying to come up with a million answers.
The man held out a remote looking device to me and I took it, looking at it dumbfoundedly and confused. "It was a simulation, I meant it."
