"I'm talking to you about this later," I grumbled, throwing my leg over the seat. I tried to look annoyed when he sat behind me, arms around my waist, his head against mine. Rex and Cody gave us strange looks and sped off. I turned to look at him, attempting to wipe the smile off my face.

"You're so dramatic. It's like you want to get caught."

In response, his eyes darted to Rex and Cody, who were decently far away from us, and back to mine, his hand lifting to the nape of my neck, his lips kissing mine gently for several seconds. When he pulled away, I tried again to look aggravated.

"Are you quite finished, Anakin? We have a mission." He nodded happily, his arms tightening around my waist as I revved the speeder, the low hum of the engines droning in our ears as we pulled out of the clearing. Cool wind blew in our faces and the sides of my vision blurred as we hurtled across the field towards the base.

After several moments, we neared the base, and I could feel his mind prepare itself for battle. Cody and Rex had parked their speeders behind a pile of cargo crates, and I steered the speeder towards theirs. Anakin projected a thought to me.

'I would kiss you again, but...'

Laughing at this, I gave him a small smile and sent him a thought back as I climbed off the speeder, adjusting my robes.

'You'll have to give it to me later, then. However, I'll have to charge interest.'

He laughed at this, grinning wildly at me as he projected his response.

'Oh dear. Name your price then: ten for each hour it is delayed?'

He ran a hand through his hair, the other hand on his hip. I reached up, holding my chin as I pretended to consider his offer, smirking at him as I projected my negotiation.

'Twelve. I'll settle for no less.'

His eyes twinkled, and he projected back one final answer as he picked up a droid popper and put it in one of his belt pouches.

'Gladly. And, of course, I may throw in something special, should I keep you waiting too long.'

With this, he made a very suggestive facial expression, and I facepalmed to hide my blush.

'I'm intrigued...'

I projected back, sliding my eyes towards his. We held each other's gaze for a moment- probably too long- smiling oddly at one another. We completely forgot about Rex and Cody until the latter cleared his throat at us, making me jump slightly. Rex turned to my commander, bewilderment on his face.

"They're doing that psychic thing again, aren't they?" Cody nodded, and I could tell even with his helmet on that he rolled his eyes.

"I don't even ask anymore." Laughing, Rex pulled on his helmet, and Cody turned to me, pointing to the side of the base's large metal exterior.

"The ventilation shaft is where it's supposed to be, sir." About thirty feet up, a small metal hatch was barely visible- protruding from the side of the stark metal exterior of the formidable separatist base.

"Well. We know what to do. Keep your comms at hand, men. May the force be with you." Anakin nodded, and he and Rex headed off around the corner towards their entry point. Cody must have noticed, even though he wasn't a force-sensitive, that I was stressed.

"Sir, is there something the matter? You seem abnormally... worried." Concern seeped into his words. In truth, he was right- I had grown increasingly more nervous with every mission we went on- so much so that even non-force-sensitives could sense it. However, admitting this to my commander was certainly not the smartest thing to do when heading into a potentially dangerous and very important mission. So, shrugging, I pulled my gaze from the spot where Anakin had just vanished behind the corner and lied to my commander, wishing my words were true.
