3 ~ The Apology

Luke's POV 

There he is. Bobby's standing right in front of us. Even just looking at him makes my blood boil. 

"Hey Julie" He says. I can tell something's bothering him, most likely us. 

"Hey Mr. Wilson, it's been a while, how are you?" Julie politely says. I don't understand how she can stay so calm. I feel like I'm about to explode. 

"I'm fine." He quickly says. "I saw you play at the Orpheum." 

"Yeah that's what Carrie said." Julie replies. 

"Has your mom told you about the band I used to be in?" He asks. Did Julie's mom know about us? Maybe she was a fan? 

"Sunset curve?" Julie questions.

"So she's told you." Bobby says, confirming. 

"No," Julie replies. "I think you know who told me" she says. I can tell she's starting to get nervous. Bobby just looks kind of shocked. 

"Uh yeah um. That's what I came here to talk about" he says 

"I figured." Julie says. 

"I don't understand, how- when- why-" Bobby tried to form a sentence but I think everything's just kind of overwhelming him. 

"It's a long and confusing story." Julie's says before explaining everything, the CD, playing at her school, and even how we can touch her now. 

Bobby just stands there, shocked. 

After a few moments of silence he asks "are they here?" Julie nods her head.

"I'll play soft piano and have them join so you can talk to them." She says as she seats herself at the piano. Bobby looks a little hesitant, no doubt worried about seeing me. 

Julie starts to play.

Julie's POV 

We planned to have Alex come in, talk to Bobby a little bit, then Reggie, and finally Luke, if he decides to talk, he wasn't sure if he could stay calm enough to. 

I sit down and start to play. 

"They'll come in one at a time and have a turn to talk with you." I tell Bobby. He nods showing that he understands. Alex poofs into view. 

Bobby softens a little, seeing his old friend again. 

"Alex," He says quietly 

"Hey Bobby." Alex says. Even though he's the least angry out of the three, he's still hurt that Bobby betrayed them. "Why'd you do it?" Bobby looks a little confused. He probably doesn't realize they know he stole Luke's songs. Alex picks up on his confusion "you stole our songs, didn't give us any credit. Julie, who has known you her whole life, had never even heard of us" he's more sad then angry, hurt that his friend would do something like that. 

"I- I don't know, it just- it just kind of happened" Bobby says quietly, clearly feeling very guilty. I feel bad for what he's about to get from Luke. 

Reggie poofs in next, quietly picking out notes on his bass. 

"Reg" Bobby says

"You guys were my only family, families don't do that to each other," He says, trying to choke back tears, but they fall anyways. 

"reg, im sorry, you know I'd never want to hurt you." Bobby replies, still quietly. 

There's a pause, I look over and see Luke thinking about whether to come in or not.
