SOPHIE'S POV.

Sophie flopped on the her bed, Elwin had just checked up on her and told her she could go home on the morning. Which was great...
Keefe and her weren't really talking, she didn't even know why. She was pretty sure she was jealous which was absurd because she had NO ABSOLUTE REASON to feel jealous. Of course not.
She was currently putting the prattles pins in a neat row and admiring their handy work. She barely glanced at Keefe, she also wanted to move her bed away from him but she didn't know how to subtly do that. Why did she want to be subtle? She could just move either way she was only staying one night.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw Keefe sketching on his notebooks. Ro had bought them with his clothes the day before. Sophie admitted she wanted to rip it out of his hands and see what he was so secretive about.
But unfortunately she was mad at him and hurt. It hadn't occurred to her that Keefe and Fitz had lives and things she didn't know about. It hurt her even more that they hadn't bothered to tell her. She was there Cognate. Great now she was starting to sound like Fitz.
But she was, why would they hide things from her? They knew everything about her. And it wasn't fair.
It suprised her that she was mulling over boy problems (again) while she had more important things to deal with. She had to check in with Team Valient in the morning and also with Oralie. Had to talk to Mr Forkle about all of this and Keefe.
There were so many things in her to do list and she was over here thinking why two of the most important people in her life were keeping secrets from her.
"Foster..." Keefe not so subtly whispered to her.
She turned to him and bit back a smile. His hands were covered with paint and little and somehow gotten above his eyebrows.
She raised her eyebrows in question.
"Wanna sneak out?" He said with a mischievous smirk that made Sophie very worried.
"You think Ro won't notice?" She whispered back not sure why she was agreeing.
Keefe shook his head. "I slipped her some sedative before she's out as a rock." He smiled pretty proud of himself.
Sophie hesitated.
"Oh, come on. You are going tommorow and then who am I going to name prattles pins with?" Keefe somehow, god knows how, actually managed to pull of a pleading look.
"Fine."
It was almost worth it seeing Keefe light up. She took her cape and wrapped it around her.
"Come on I know the coolest place."
And they both dissapeared into the night
