'oh no, we both know
more trouble's gonna find us
if we're all alone
I wanna show you what I really mean
but you're always on the outside looking in'

THE TOURNAMENT HAD GONE ON, and it started with more than a bang than a fizzle. Johnny had muttered something to Miguel and soon after, the crowd and Veronica saw Miguel win with the famous LaRusso crane kick of '84. Across the room, she saw Sam and Daniel exchange conversation and glances towards Johnny and Miguel. The tournament was met with most wins towards the Cobras; Miguel, Hawk, and Aisha being the top winners of their rounds and Xander and Robby being the other top fighters, climbing right beside the three Cobras. Veronica watched each round go on, and one by one, she felt proud when each Cobra would win. The semi-finals were approaching, and Aisha was moments away from going in a joining Hawk and Miguel, but was side-swept, losing 2-3 to Xander Stone.

"You'll get them next time––" "Whatever." She immediately dismisses as Veronica tried to console her on the losing fight. Walking away, she brings her bag with her. Veronica's gaze lingers on Aisha as she walks into the hallway outside. Sam follows soon after, and Veronica instantly has a good feeling, like the worries she had about Aisha had somehow subsided. She knows that Sam's a good kid, but the drama that's happening between Miguel and her shouldn't change her look on the girl––or Robby. She just hopes that this drama they have won't get in and over their heads; if Veronica knows one thing, it's letting things like high school drama dictate their life. She hopes they won't repeat history. She turns her attention back to the tournament's main stage, seeing the boys stage on stage proudly.

"Will it be Miguel Diaz from Cobra Kai karate? Will it be Hawk..." The announcer reads the card of names, and with a confused look, powers forward. "I guess it's just 'Hawk', from Cobra Kai karate?" "Will it be Robby Keene, from unaffiliated?" Smaller groups of claps are heard for Robby, as Veronica and Robby exchange another look between each other as he bows. "And for last, and certainly not least, fighting out of Topanga Karate, is Xander Stone!" The crowd goes wild with shouts and claps as the kid does a flip to show off, and he grabs the mic to stay a few non-planned words. He continues to talk and Veronica walks beside the side of the stage, already bored of the kid's attempt to appeal to the crowd. A beat of silence passes before the announcer grabs the mic and starts the semi-finals. The board behind them reading who fights who. First up are Miguel and Xander, and then Hawk and Robby. Something tugs at Veronica's stomach when she reads Hawk and Robby's names. This definitely didn't feel good. She steps closer to Johnny, who was off stage as Miguel is on stage fighting Xander. "Hey." Johnny nudges Veronica's arm, taking her out of her worried trance. "Yeah?" She asked, shaking her head and looking up at the blonde karate Sensei; her doe eyes shining from the stage lights. "Are you okay?" Johnny asks with concern lacing his voice. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just nervous for Miguel, that's all." 'And Robby.' She says almost to herself. Johnny just nods but puts a reassuring hand around her waist. Veronica leans closer to Johnny and smiles at the gestures, feeling somewhat better under his protective touch.
