Doctor Visits

I wake with a start to only realize that it was Jennifer waking me up. "Don't ever do that again." I said. "Sorry I didn't know how else to wake you up." She said. "Why did you wake me up anyways." I ask her. "Oh right I'm supposed to remind you that you have a doctors appointment to check out your baby and stuff mom told me to tell you, and to be up at 9 the appointment is at 10:30." She says. "Okay bye let me sleep." I say. "Okay goodnight." And with that she leaves my room and closes the door, and I drift into sleep

I wake up to the sound of the alarm. 9:00. Today I didn't have to throw up either. 2 good days in a row, I think it might be my lucky week. I get up shower, brush my teeth, and get ready for my doctors appointment. Oh my god I forgot to tell Michael! I quickly reach for my phone and call him, after 4 rings he picks up. "Emma is something wrong?" He asks. "How fast can you meet me in the hospital? it's 10:03 already." I ask "why are you going to the hospital is something wrong?" He asks worriedly. "No no it's that I just found out I have a doctors appointment to like check on the baby and I was just asking if you wanted to come you don't have to." I say. "No I want to I'll pick you up in 20 minutes." He said. "Okay." I replied. I go downstairs eat breakfast and wait, for Michael to arrive. 5 minutes later i get a text from Michael that says:

👈👈👈 Okay I'll be right there.
With that I grab Jennifer's hand and make her come with me. As soon as she sees Michael or Mr. Gonzalez to her she opens her mouth so wide that If she was a cartoon character her jaw could touch the ground. "Yeah Jennifer I screwed my teacher keep up, and let's go I don't want to be late." I say. The minute I get in the car I'm greeted by Miss sweet voice bitchy attitude. Great. Exactly what I needed. Once were all Inside the car Michael starts driving. "Jennifer I only have to introduce you to Miranda his Fiancé." I say pointing to both Michael and Miranda. "I just have one question." I say. "What is it?" Asks Michael. "Why is she here?" I ask. "She has a name thank you very much and I told you I'm part of this process I'm not going down without a fight." Miranda replies. "Last time I checked I'm the one that has the child in me so I don't know who made you the boss of everything." The rest of the ride is silent. We arrive at the hospital 5 minutes before the actual appointment. When we get called we all get lead into the room. The first part the doctor just asks me a bunch of questions. Then she takes out what I believe to be an ultrasound machine, which just looks like an oversized computer with a tv on it if you ask me. She tells me to lift up my shirt, then she squirts this blue very cold gel onto my stomach. She tells me I'm about to hear the heartbeat. Once I do head it tears start to well up in my eyes it the most amazing sound I've ever hewed in my entire life. The doctor tell me I'm 13 1/2 weeks pregnant (3 and a half months.) after the appointment Michael drops Jennifer and I off and they head off. When I get inside I see that Jennifer has already hung the ultrasound photo on the fridge. I smile. She'll make a good aunt.
