The crowd cheers loudly. Everyone's hands in the air as they try their hardest to push closer to the stage. Luke's eyes looked over the crowd but he was only looking for one person. Y/n. He didn't care about anyone else but her. Now that the boys didn't need Julie or Y/n to perform with them to be seen, they perform by themselves sometime too. The words left his lips as soon as his eyes met hers. A soft smirk moves onto his mouth when he sees her. She never missed a show. She wouldn't dare. Even if it was a school night and she knew her grandma was going to kill her for staying out so late.
"Take off, Last stop! Countdown til' we blast open the top. Face first, full charge. Electric hammer to the heart." Luke sings into the microphone, picking at his guitar. Reggie nodded his head beside him, starting to dance. Luke kept his eyes on Y/n and even sent a wink her way. He'd usually do that to swoon somebody in the crowd but he just wanted her. He didn't need anyone else. Alex smiles at the crowd, playing his drums. Reggie quickly runs over to sing with Luke in his microphone. They both hyped each other up a bunch on stage. Y/n smiles from the ground. She loved watching them perform even if she was singing with them. They were entertaining to watch. Alex stands up on his drum stand to sing his part.
"We ain't searching for tomorrow! (Tomorrow!). We've got all we need today! (Todayyy!)" He sings proudly, his confidence growing profusely as Reggie sings backup for him. Luke grabs his and sings his part next. "Living on a feeling that's been runnin' through our veins!" He leans back to let Reggie finish it. "We're the revolution that's been singin' in the rain!" Reggie finishes, stepping back to begin clapping his hands above his head. The other boys join in and soon after the crowd of people join them. It was insane to hear their lyrics being screamed throughout the building. The boys looked at each other proudly.
Luke set down his guitar as soon as he finished the song, jumping off the stage and pushing through the crowd. They cheered as they were able to touch him. He only cared about one thing though. "You did amazing!" I yell over the crowd, meeting him half way and jumping into his arms. He chuckles softly, picking me up. "Thank you, baby." He says into my ear once he's got me in his arms. I smile and hold him closer not even caring how sweaty he was. He moves us through the crowd to take me backstage with him.
"Y/n!" Reggie yells excitedly, running over to me. I smile and pull him into a hug. He hugs me back tightly. "You did good, Reg." I say, patting his back softly. "Thank you." He smiles and let's go of me. Alex looks at me and crosses his arms.
"Waiting. Waiting for mine." Alex says, turning his head away. I giggle and pull him into a huge hug. He finally gives in to hug me back tightly. "You guys deserve to be on the biggest stage ever with the biggest crowds ever." I say, keeping my arm around Alex's waist while I look at them. They smile at me. It was good to be with my boys. It always was. I check the time on my phone and quickly give Luke a look. "Come on, come on." He grabs my hand, running towards the back exit of the building. I wave a quick goodbye to Reggie and Alex. They laugh at us and wave back.
Luke had saved up enough money to upgrade his bicycle to a small cheap motorcycle. I didn't agree with him at first because I thought it was way more dangerous but he assured me he was a pro (still did not make me feel any better). He took his tests and everything to make sure he had the qualifications to drive it. He wasn't a bad driver either. And he looked good while doing it. Luke hands me his helmet and turns it on. I sit behind him, wrapping my arms around his torso. "Hold on." He says before pressing down on the gas. He knew I had to be home at a certain time. The bike felt like it was about to pop a wheelie as it took off, making me squeeze him tighter. I could feel him chuckle. He drives carefully but quickly to get back to my house. The porch light was still on which was a really good sign. I get off the bike and pull off his helmet, handing it back to him.
"Drive safe to get back to Julie's, rockstar." I say, leaning over to kiss him gently. He smiles and kisses me back. "Of course, groupie." He jokes before letting me go. I smile at him, shaking my head and quickly going over to the front door. I hear him cat-call whistle behind me. My jaw drops as I glare back at him. He chuckles softly before pulling out of the driveway. I fix my hair and step inside.
"How was Luke tonight?" My grandma asks as soon as I step inside. "Great." I smile at her. At first, she really liked Luke. She knew he brought the music back to me. Her opinion started to change when she caught me sneaking out to see him, caught him sneaking in to see me, and found out he bought a motorcycle. She also didn't like the fact that he was a year (technically) older than me and didn't go to school. She knew she couldn't force me to break up with him. Luke wasn't going anywhere and I was perfectly fine with that. I walk upstairs to my room. Julie had given Luke an old phone of hers.
'Goodnight, rockstar.' I text him. 'Goodnight, dollface.' He texts me back.
