Luke looks down at his feet confused while I sat in front of him, tying his ice skates for him. "These feel weird.." He says making me smile at him. He carefully moves to stand up. "Woah, different view from down there huh..?" He teases, making me hit his thigh softly as I stand up. Flynn suggested we go ice skating which I was worried about because these boys had never done that before. I have been skating and was actually pretty decent at it. I take Luke's hand, carefully gliding out onto the ice. "Woah.. woah.. slow down.." He says trying to keep his balance. I smile at him and keep his hand in mine, turning to skate backwards. "You're doing great, babe." I say, watching him. He looks like a baby deer trying to stand. His legs wobble a little as he watches how my feet move. "There you go.." I say, smiling at him. Luke grips my hand more to make sure i'm not letting go. I keep skating and turn to skate beside him. "You're doing great." I lean over to carefully kiss his cheek, being sure to not make him lose him balance. Reggie was being helped by Flynn. She carefully led him over the ice and he had it down pat. Alex didn't actually need that much help. He said it was just like roller skating. Reggie still would get scared every now and then, begging Flynn to come to him quickly. She'd just laugh and skate over to hold his hand. Julie skates beside Luke and I.

"Is that-" Luke starts but gets cut off when his skate slips out from under him. He falls backwards, causing me to fall right on top of him. Julie couldn't help but burst out laughing. "Oh my gosh, Luke are you okay?" I quickly sit up, cupping his face gently. He chuckles a little and nods. "Perfect." He mumbles, opening his eyes. Once I made sure he was alright I let myself laugh softly. "The views just keep getting better huh.." He says, looking up at me. "Lukeee." I roll my eyes at him before moving to stand up. I hold my hand down for him, easily pulling him up. How the tables have turned. It takes him another second to regain his balance. He's able to begin skating again. "Who were you pointing out?" I ask, taking his hand again. "Josh." Luke points over at the guy standing with a few friends. I forgot Josh vacationed out here for Christmas.

"Let's go say hey." I smile, skating over to him. Luke gives me a look but goes with me. "Hey Josh." I say and lean on the railing. He stops talking and looks over at me, immediately pulling me into a hug. "Y/n! It's great to see you." He says, smiling softly. I smile and hug him back. Luke rolls his eyes briefly. "Hey man." Josh says, holding his hand out for him. Luke reaches his hand out, trying not to fall. "Having trouble there bud?" Josh asks which makes his friends chuckle a little. "He's doing good for his first time." I say, nodding and smiling softly. Luke glares at him from behind me. His arm instinctively goes around my waist. "Hey, we're having a fire at the cabin tonight. You guys should come." Julie says, smiling at Nick. He smiles at her and waves.

"That sounds really fun." Josh says, smiling at me. I smile and lean back onto Luke's chest. "It'll be great. We have marshmallows." I say, playing with Luke's fingers. "My marshmallows." Luke mumbles quietly. I lightly smack his hand but make it unnoticeable by Josh and his friends. "We'll see you guys there." Josh says before skating off with Nick. Julie smiles and nods. "Great. Peachy." Luke groans and shakes his head. I turn to look up at him. "Quit being grumpy." I reach up to peck his lips before quickly skating off. "Catch me grumpy pants." I stick my tongue out at him. He shakes his head and does his best to take off, almost falling a few times. Julie laughs softly at his attempt to skate fast. I had to admit it was incredibly funny watching him. He was just too cute. We skated for a while before Luke decided he was way too cold and his legs were starting to become sore.

Flynn's dad made the fire up for us before walking back to the guest house with her mom. Reggie sets up a s'more station for us. He said it was his speciality. Alex cuddles up to Willie with a blanket around them. Nick and Josh eventually join us. I grab a marshmallow and place it on the stick to cook. Luke stays close to me, a close eye being kept on Josh. "My legs hurt.." Luke says. I smile at him and rub his shoulder softly. He smiles and leans closer to me. I laugh softly at a conversation between Reggie and Julie, taking a bite of my marshmallow. "You're so messy." Josh jokes, nudging me. I shake my head and wipe the corner of my mouth. "You're about to be messy too." I say bringing the marshmallow towards him. He quickly grabs my wrist, chuckling softly. "Nope, nope." He says. I smile and finish my marshmallow.

"Wow, that fire really has your eyes looking crazy cool.." Josh comments, making me look at him. "Really?" I ask and smile lightly. I'd never been told that before. "Yes, really. Wow." He says looking in my eyes. I shake my head and look at the fire. "Josh, you mind not flirting with my girlfriend in front of me?" Luke snaps from the other side of me. "Luke.." I say quietly, resting my hand on his shoulder. "Dude, chill. It's a compliment. Take some notes and maybe you'll actually learn something." Josh shakes his head and leans back. Julie and Reggie stop talking, turning their attention towards the two boys. I sit right in the middle of them. "Oh yeah? Shut up before I give you something to take notes on." Luke says standing up. My eyes widen and I quickly stand up, placing my hand on Luke's chest. "Luke. Stop." I say to him giving him a look. Josh smirks at him. Luke scoffs a little and walks off. "I'm sorry.." I look at our friends before quickly following after him. Julie nods sympathetically. I didn't understand what he had against Josh and I being friends. We went on two dates but made it clear we weren't made for each other. Luke was the one I wanted. Always.

"Luke what is going on? He was just saying I have nice eyes?" I ask, grabbing his arm gently. He turns back towards me with anger clear on his face. "Are you completely oblivious or are you just that much of an attention whore?" He snaps at me making me flinch back with wide eyes. His face immediately softens when he realizes what he's said. "Y/n.." He reaches for my hand but I pull it away. Luke notices and immediately tries to cup my face gently. I push his hands away with tears filling my eyes. "Why don't you go ahead and say what else is on your mind. Since I'm so much of an attention whore." I say coldly, blinking a little as the tears stream down my cheeks. It was cold but I didn't care right now. I didn't even want to look at Luke right now. He's never yelled at me. He's never called me a name before. This stung. This hurt a lot. "Goodnight." I say quietly, wiping the tears off my cheek as I turn to walk away from him.

"Y/n, please. I'm sorry." He says trying to follow me. I quickly push past our friends who had stood up when they heard Luke snap a bit. Reggie looks back at me concerned. "Go ahead." Alex says to him. Reggie nods and quickly follows me inside. Luke walks closer to his friends.

Luke couldn't believe it. He didn't even mean to get that mad. He would never purposely hurt her feelings like that but he did tonight. Luke looks at the disappointment in Alex's face and immediately wishes he could disappear. "You're going to figure out how to make this right." Alex says sternly before walking inside. Josh pats Luke's shoulder a little before Nick pushes his hand away. "Come on, man. Let's go." Nick says, starting to walk off. "Be careful bud, might lose her." Josh says smugly before walking away from Luke. Luke closes his eyes briefly and leans his head back. He really messed up. He knew he did when even Willie left from beside the fire to go inside and check on Y/n. Luke's heart pounded with guilt and he felt sick to his stomach. The look on her face as soon as the words left his lips. He never truly thought of Y/n as an attention whore. It just slipped out because he didn't like seeing her enjoy attention from another guy. Luke walks inside, the boys (minus Alex) were sitting on the couch while the girls were in Y/n's room.

"Is she okay?" Luke asks softly, looking at Reggie. He looks up at him. "What do you think..?" He says quietly before looking at his hands. Luke knew. He knew she was extremely hurt. He let his anger control the situation. Luke wasn't mad at Y/n. He was just tired of Josh constantly flirting and her being oblivious too it. She just thought he was being friendly. He wasn't. Luke was a guy. He could clear as day see that. Luke walks over to her room and knocks on the door. Julie answers it. "Not right now Luke." She says, crossing her arms. Luke tries to peek over her to at least check on Y/n but she doesn't let him. "Just tell her I love her, okay?" He pleads, looking at her. "Doubt she'd want to hear it right now, but alright." She says before closing the door in his face. Luke already knew this was about to be the longest night of his life. It was the first night in an extremely long time that he was going to be alone, cold in his room. Why did he have to mess up so badly. Why couldn't he have just told Josh off but kept his cool. Luke walks back to his room and sits on his bed, placing his face in his hands.

I stare up at the ceiling, tears still streaming down from my eyes. "I hate that he thinks that about me." I whisper, reaching up and wiping my eyes. Julie rubs my shoulder gently. "He doesn't. He got caught up in the moment. He loves you." She reassures. Flynn nods and moves her hands to braid my hair gently. I roll over onto my side with my thoughts consuming my brain.
