Imperium's POV

"Where is he" I spit out at Kai as I tried to contact jax through the mind link. Jax was no where to be found and a group of rogues have entered our territory. A few even passed the boarders and were here near the school.

I was pissed not only because we couldn't contact Jax but because Nyx ditched me earlier. I was about to hunt her down when three rogues tried to get in the school, but luckily Roy and Kai were close by and drew them out into the forest behind the school.

" Your brothers really holding them back " I muttered as I could hear the sound of whimpers coming from the forest, none belonging to Kai's brother Roy.

"He's tough" Kai mumbled as he looked into the forest. Probably using his wolf senses to make sure he's alright. At the moment Roy was taking on 3 rogues, but he's dealt with more before plus he's a trained fighter so I wasn't concerned.

I tried again to reach Jax since he was my Delta or third in command and he needed to go to the pack house and lead the guards there.

I was just about to use my Alpha authority to break through Jax's mind barrier when Nyx came running out of the side of the school that had the hole In it.

My wolf was jumping around in my head at the sight of her demanding that I go to her but I also knew it wasn't safe for her here. I ignored my wolf as I turned to talk to Kai but Nyx launched herself in the air and wrapped her arms around me. I looked down at her with confusion but stiffened as I saw the look of fear etched onto her face.

'Kill whoever made your mate feel like this' demanded my wolf and I agreed but at this moment I just wanted to hold her in my arms. I wrapped my arms around hers but she abruptly moved out of my grasp. The warmth I felt only seconds ago disappeared and although I wanted to I didn't hold onto her as I saw the mixed emotions flickering on her face.

"You need to leave right now Nyx It's dangerous here" I mumbled worried that the rogues would suddenly burst out of the woods. She acted like she didn't hear me as she just kept flashing mixed emotions on her face.

I didn't know all her facial expressions yet, but I intended to in the near future, I could however make out confusion,tranquility, anger and disgust. I'm not sure why she felt that but I wasn't complaining because as soon as disgust flickered on her face she got on her tippy toes and kissed me.

At first I was confused with her suddenly kissing me due to the fact that moments ago she ran away from me, by going all ninja and escaping from the bathroom but as my wolf was pointing out- Who the heck's complaining my mate was kissing me .

I deepened the kiss as her scent wafts around me. She smelled like old books and it was intoxicating, like a drug that kept drawing me in and making me want more. Because of the matting bond she should want me as well but since she wasn't a wolf it was a faint pull; however, for me being a wolf and and an Alpha the pull was amplified by 1000 and every second we kissed tempted me to just pull her closer and closer into me.

The perverted part of me as well as wolf aspect was begging me to mark her or at least pull us onto the ground and just take her.

My thoughts were interrupted as I heard a scream coming from one of the guards further in the forest. I looked past Nyx to see Kai looking at me with a smirk and an eyebrow raised. He looked from me than Nyx before wiggling his eyebrow- he looked like an idiot.

'Shut up!' I growled through the mind link but he continued to smirk. 'Go help the guard near the border, than help your brother.' He nodded before running off into the forest and I thanked the moon goddess that he didn't start stripping nor turned into his wolf in front of nyx.

I looked to see nyx blushing a delicious scarlet that made me want to kiss her again but my wolf was telling me to get her to safety. She looked up at me with her Blue gre... my thoughts trailed to a stop as her eyes were no longer their usual blue with green rimming her iris but a muted purple with blue peeking out from beneath it.

'Take her now' my wolf begged as we looked at our beautiful mate who does not cease to surprise us. I gasped as I realized she wasn't human but I didn't care because so wasn't I.

"their violet" I whispered which seemed to confuse her befor horror engulfed her face. She knocked my hands from cupping her face and ran towards the woods- Damn she's fast

'She's close to us Alpha she's gonna see us" Roy Yelled through the mind link causing me to run in his direction. I still didn't like how close Roy was to my mate but since he already found his and was interested in guys made me accept their friendship.

'shit man there's a another rouge heading straight for her. You need to get here now' Kai panicked and I used the mind link to see that both Kai and his brother were both occupied with their own rogue to fight. But what made my wolf growling and howling in anger was that one of the rogues dared to try and harm my mate.

She was stumbling backwards trying to get away from the grey wolf.The fear in her eyes is what got me sprinting the fastest i've ever had and their was only one thing on my mind. 'Kill all of them. Kill the bastard who thought they could harm my mate'

My wolf was in full control of my mind so I didn't even think twice before leaping in the air behind Nyx and shifting. It took me only a couple of seconds to kill the rogue and soon the forest was silent.

'Well that was eventful' Roy muttered before both him and Kai joined my flanks as we moved slowly towards Nyx. Honestly we were trying our best not to frighten her. My wolf howled in pain as I saw the fear in her eyes as she looked at us before she stumbled on a protruding tree root and her eyes closed shut as she hit the ground head first.

'ahahahaha Alpha our future luna is so graceful' Roy laughed, but was silenced when a low growl escaped my wolf snout.

I quickly shifted into my human form and picked my mate up from the forest floor. Yeah I know I was naked and techniqually she wasnt aware but I wasn't going to try anything I swear. Both Kai and Roy followed behind me as we made our way to the pack house. I sighed as I looked down at my sleeping- 'Shes not sleeping, she's out cold man' Kai interrupted but i just glared in response.

I just kept looking at my "SLEEPING" mate , and I swear I heard a laugh from behind me. I'm not sure if it was Roy or maybe the moon goddess laughing at us and enjoying the entertainment.
