Chapter 8

(Y/n Pov)

I start running towards him and punching the ground as I run to leave a trail of my saliva. He dodges my fists, but I toss saliva towards and lands on top of him. He tries to brush it off but just spreads it across his cloak. Shortly after landing on him, the saliva combusts, and he flies back onto his back. I charge him and shove my head crest into the ground and on top of him, but he turns to mist and dodges the attack. I pull my head out and cause another explosion. The previous saliva I punched into the ground is now combusting and leaving sear marks in the ground.

Silas then teleports behind me and brings his weapon down onto my tail and cuts three big gashes into it and I jump forward in pain. I feel the power in his weapon and know that I must do something to save not only Grog right now, but everyone else. I revert to my humanoid self and call out to Silas. "Silas! You have no idea what you are dealing with! You have no idea what I am capable of." I hear him laugh and respond. "You are just like any other druid (Y/n), boastful and cocky of their powers." "Oh, but I am no druid Silas...I...AM A GOD!!!"

I jump into the air into my true form and summon a red lightning storm above. I look down onto Silas and see terror in his eyes as I roar and send a fireball down onto the cliff. He jumps away but still gets carried by the blast into a jagged rock and knocked to the ground. I glance to see everyone arriving on the edge of the battle and I shout to them "Zhaan mojka!!"

(Vex's Pov)

As we're running up the cliff to get to the others, we see (Y/n) in their true form and they call out to everyone in Draconic. "Run away!!" I pause with Trinket and hold back Pike. "Pike, we need everyone out of here. (Y/n) is gonna do something." We turn to Derrig who is not too far away and tell him to run the other way.

(Keyleth Pov)

I hop out of the ground in my Earth Elemental and see (Y/n) in the air in his true form summoning a storm. I run to Scanlan and pick him up and start running through the cloaked figures to free Grog to run with us and to the others across the way. I arrive at the location with the others and we start running back down the cliff.

(Y/n Pov)

I landed onto the ground causing a slight rumble and took a deep breath and used my most powerful ability I know. 'Emperor's Roar' I say to myself as I rear up onto my back legs and let out my earth-shattering roar, sending several thick bolts of lightning down striking into and through the ground. The ground shakes and the earth begins to crack. After the lightning strikes and I release one last roar into the air, I fall back on all fours and slowly revert back to my humanoid form. As I return, the lightning storm subsides and begins to gently sprinkle. I fall to my knees in exhaustion and take deep breaths. As I am kneeling there on the seared ground from the lightning, I spot the group and some of the party guests in tow coming back up to the cliff top. I stand back up and notice my clothes are quite charred, but not terribly damaged. "(Y/n) are you alright?" Scanlan asks.

"(chuckle) Do you forget who I am Scanlan? I am (Y/n) (L/n), son of Io. I am (wince) perfectly fine." I respond with a hint of sarcasm. He rolls his eyes and nods his head. We hear slightly shifting rocks near the cliff and we turn to see a very seared and burnt Silas attempting to crawl away. We start to walk over to him and I place my foot on his leg. Vex raises the Spiritual Weapon summoned by Pike and let's go of two arrows into his back and head and he then disintegrates. "I can't believe it guys, he's finally dead." "Well, I see it as that ruining a soon-to-be couples wedding like this isn't exactly nice."

I say with a smile and the group get a laugh out of my joke. "Well, Vex, Percy, why don't we just have the wedding here and now?" They look at each other and kinda shrug their shoulders and low key agree with his proposal. A little bit of time passed, and we set everything up and everyone got into positions. I then get pulled away by Vex to the opposite side of the ceremony and she interlocks my arm into hers. "Oh, right the...walking thing." "Yes darling, just walk with me and you'll be fine." I take a deep breath and slowly walk with her towards Pike, Keyleth, Tary, and Percy.

We get to the end and she turns to me and gives me a hug and I return it to her. We then part and I back up to stand by Grog. The ceremony began and Pike said her speech and we all watched and listened to her deliver her speech. I do briefly remember a comment on sex somewhere in the speech, but we all thought it was funny. Then it was the renewal of vows. I swear I could hear Grog shed a tear, but he denied it and I teased him about it. After the vows, it was time for the "I Do's" and I could hear more sniffling from the people and I just kinda shrugged it off. Just as Pike was about to finish up the ceremony, Scanlan spoke up.

"Pike before you do this, may I just offer one more word." "Of course." "Um, I didn't buy you a gift, because nothing is as expensive enough for you. I know I threw the one thing that you loved away into the acid pits, so instead I wanted to give you guys a gift...just a wish...a wish that your brother would be able to speak to you for just a moment or two on your wedding day."

"Is that possible?" Vex asks softly. He nods and closes his eyes. "I wish that Vax'ildan can say a few words at his sister's wedding." A few seconds pass after his words are spoken and we all look to the edge of the cliff side and see a tall dark slender figure standing there with a porcelain mask and long black hair and feathers. We all recognize that this figure is the Raven Queen. As she stands there, she opens her cloak to reveal a familiar set of black leather armor, feathered mantle, and black hair. Vax'ildan walks out and approaches us. "Scanlan Shorthalt, you are toying with the designs of the gods still I see, old friend." "Well, I didn't have a present." "She will allow it...and thank you." He looks to Vex, and she has a single tear fall down her cheek as he approaches her, and she wraps him in a tight hug. They peak a few words to each other and to Percy.

Shortly after, he turns to Keyleth and they as well share a hug and speak a few words to each other and sheds a tear for Vax. After their emotional moments together, it was time for Vax to leave, and before he leaft, I break through the people and run up to him. "Vax...This family...is still safe to this day, but I think that it is my time to find a new life. Will that be okay with you?" He nods to me and smiles. "I thank you anyway for what you've done." And he hugs me and returns to the Raven Queen and the figure scatters in the wind of feathers.

After the present was over, the ceremony ended, Vex and Percy are now officially married. "Tell me (Y/n), what are your plans for the future?" Pike asked me as the wedded couple walked away through the people and down to the town. I respond with a tad of sarcasm. "I don't know, maybe as time goes on, I'll meet another group of people like yourselves. Then I can tell them the stories of Vox Machina, and maybe these people will be just like me...Mighty."
