LEXA POV
Senior Year. It's my last first day in college. I can't believe my stupid ass self was able to reach Senior Year, heck I have reached college. All my life, I thought I would just be an ordinary dishwasher in an unknown diner in the suburbs or one of those regular street vendors who resells other people's trash.

Don't get me wrong, I am smart, I've reached college didn't I? But my whole life, it was a wreck. I never got that chance to study in a real library, or have any tutoring classes. I had a very rough past and all I wanted to do was to get lost and be free of this shitty life.

Now, I am close to that. Studies aren't my first priority, but fun and excitement is. I am your typical teenage student who's always in a local bar everytime or in a party. I drink, a lot. But I can control my alcohol. I rarely go home drunk or wake up with a hungover. I also tried drugs but it just fucks up my mind even more, it brings back bad memories. So I end up using cigarettes instead.

My thoughts get cut off with a knock on my door. It's Marcus.

- Hey, you ready to go back to school?- he asks as he comes in my room

- Hey, you ready to go back to school?- he asks as he comes in my room.

I sit up and give him a smile. - Yea I think so. It's my last year-

-It sure is. I'm so proud of you, Lexa- He reach out his hand and give me a soothing touch on my hand.

- Thank you - I said smiling

He nods and stands up to leave my room

- oh, breakfast is ready in a few. Just come down before you leave school okay? - Marcus says before he closes my door.

I groan and lay back to bed. Marcus is not my biological father. I grew up in the Orphanage for Girls since I was 5 years old. My biological parents were shot at gunpoint during a raid in the bank. Both of them were tellers so they were the one who was taken out first since both of them wanted to alert the police first.

I was a happy and bubbly kid before my parents died. Well, I still was even when I was in the orphanage because of the people there. It all changed when things went to shit.

Marcus and his late wife adopted me 4 years ago. I was 17 then so it was weird getting adopted with that age. His wife died two years ago because of an accident. Now, it's just me, Marcus and my adoptive sister, Luna. Marcus is a lawyer and Luna is doing her residency at the hospital. I on the other hand, is expected to do great things like them, but I didn't. I am in love with Art, so I'm taking Art and Culinary. It's a weird combination but food and art relaxes me. I have my own little world in my creative bubble and in my own kitchen.

I got up, showered and went downstairs to eat breakfast. I was greeted by the nannies and Luna, of course. Marcus already left for work, he's one of the in demand lawyers so he's always at work. Yea, I know I got adopted by a rich family, Yada yada yada.

- hey sis - Luna greeted me.

Luna and I are close. We really treat each other like sisters. It's weird but it's actually great. I never had a sister. I had friends in the orphanage but not sister-like.

- hey nerd - I shot back at her grinning and she starts throwing grapes at me. I quickly catch it using my mouth and she just gasps.

- you should teach me how you do that! You're a freak - Luna teases me and I just chuckle

- Grow up in an orphanage, you'll learn how to be a freak - I answer grinning and the room went silent.

I look around and they were just staring at me. This is the kind of situations I hate the most. So I roll my eyes and sigh

- Okay, how many times do I have to say I hate those pity looks? It's been 4 fucking years!- I scoff and grab my sandwich.

I stand up but Luna grabs my wrists - hey, sorry. It's just, it doesn't sound like a joke to me -

- well it is a joke. Who cares if I grew up in the orphanage? Not everyone got lucky - I shot back and pulled my arm from Luna. I grabbed my bag and left to school.

I am grateful during this times that nannies are present because before I even woke up, they already put all my stuff for school in my car and they have already placed all my things in my dorm room. All I have to do is go to the school even on the day of first day, I won't have to worry about unpacking. And besides, my roommates are my two bestfriends, Octavia and Raven. We have one more roommate but at least, it's three against one. They'll just do the first meeting awkwardness, and I'll just go in.

School is just a 30-minute drive so I decided to go stop by the store to buy packs of cigarettes.

- hey weirdo - I look at the cashier and it's Wells.

- hey Wells. A dozen pack of cigarettes please. I'll just go grab some alcohol - I yell as I walk to the alcohol section.

- Should I prepare you a case of beers too? - Wells yells back and I just chuckle

- Do you even have to ask? - I glare at him and he just chuckles.

I went back to the cashier as I grabbed two bottles of whiskey and another of vodka. I also took the liberty to grab some sodas, in case I want to go slow.

- I don't care about your life but take it easy, Lexa. You're young and you have great thing ahead of you- Wells look at me worried and I just scoff

- Just go back to not caring, Wells. Besides, this is for the week...or less - I smirk as I grab my supplies. Wells just shakes his head and chuckles.

I take a stick of cigarette and start to puff it. In a day, I can finish a whole dozen packs but I try to only finish two packs so a dozen will last me a week.

I continue to drive and reach the school dorms. Thankfully my dorm building has a parking spot just in front of it. Well, it's because of one certain adoptive father who asked the school to give parking spaces in front of the building. And well, I have a reserved spot.

Like I said, the nannies back at home already placed all my things in my room so I only had to carry my guitar, art case and my supplies

Like I said, the nannies back at home already placed all my things in my room so I only had to carry my guitar, art case and my supplies. Since I was still finishing my pack of cigarettes, I went to the dorm rooftop. Nobody is allowed to go in but I don't listen. I fixed up a spot where I could just stay and sit there, be alone.

Not until my phone rang. I groan.

End of Chapter 1.

New Writing Style! If I get bored with this style, I might go back to the old one because it's easier. lol

Anyways, Welcome to my new Fanfic! I hope you give it a chance. It's still boring since it's the first chapter. But I tried to make it interesting, I hope I did. So, this chapter is dedicated about Lexa. There's a little bit background of her already, even her past. But more about it on the next chapters. There will be flashbacks too.

AND Lexa is badass bitch. Like literally. I hope I built her character here like that. But if not, I'll try to make her a bitch in the next chapters. Please don't get mad haha
