CLARKE POV I wake up to the sound of my alarm. I set it up half an hour earlier than the time I should wake up because I want to shower earlier than anyone else. Lexa and I's room are adjacent to each other so we share one bathroom together, same goes with Raven and Octavia. I quickly went to take a shower and thankfully, Lexa's lights in her room are still off, meaning, she's still asleep.
Also, Raven and Octavia "demanded" that we place our schedules in the fridge door so that we get to see what time our roommates should be back home. And also our phone numbers and emergency contacts, in case anything happens. Lexa and I have almost the same class time schedules so it's hard for me to avoid her.
When I finished showering, I quickly change and went out to make some breakfast. I thought I'd just eat some cereal so I won't make any noise and I won't have to clean too much pans and utensils. When I got to the kitchen, I froze looking at Lexa in her headphones, swaying a bit and humming while she cooks what smells like bacon and pancakes.

When we were in the orphanage, Lexa always go to the kitchen and help the staff cook. Most of the time, I'd wake up without Lexa beside me, only to find her dancing to some music as she cooks some food. I shake the thought of it and decided to silently leave the room.
I was walking gently, careful not to be seen by Lexa. Thankfully her back was facing the door but then, I get spooked by Raven.
- Where do you think you're going missy? - Raven says as she laughs.
Lexa looks to me and I just look down
- I have to go to the library - I said shyly and Octavia came out from the bathroom with her toothbrush in her mouth.
- Library? Seriously? It's the first day, Griffin. Loosen up a bit - Octavia says a bit weirdly but I'm just saying to you in a clear version.
I look at Lexa setting up the table - Don't tease her guys. But Clarke, you have to eat first come on - She says as she gestures me to sit
I nod and the four of us sit at the table. - Is it going to be always like this? - I ask and they all laugh at me
- Yes it will, princess. I go for a run every morning at 5am for an hour. Except for when I have 9am classes, I wake up much later. I cook breakfast then go to school. As you know, the four of us have either 7am, 8am or 9am classes, so whichever, we can all eat breakfast. - Lexa says
- Together - Octavia answers back. I look at her and give her a smile.
Lexa has found a family of her own and it warms my heart. Raven then stood up and gave me a hug
- Welcome to the family, Griffin. You're stuck with us, whether you like it or not - Raven says as she messes my hair. I groan at her and they just laugh
- Thanks guys, I only had Anya, growing up until now. I never had anyone else. So bear with me - I say and I try to look at Lexa who just started eating.
