CLARKE POV
It's been a month since I last saw Lexa. She never came home in the dorm rooms. Raven and Octavia said that she's going home to her family because his adoptive dad needs her to go home for something. If I'm being honest, I miss her. I've missed her before, because of longingness. But today, I miss her without all the betrayals and pain. I miss her presence. It's been years, but I don't know what she has been through. She changed in a bad way and there must be a reason to it.

I go home and just think about her. I hope she's okay.

- Hey guys, is Lexa coming home today? - I ask and both of them just shake their head no.

They stand up from their room and join me in the living room - Why? Do you need anything from her? You can call her if you need to. Her number's there - Octavia says pointing at the fridge and I just nod

- Is she okay? Does she do this often? - I ask concerned and they just sigh and nod.

- We don't know how to tell you but all we can say is that she's been through a lot of shit, like literally. This Lexa you met now is 50 times better than when we first me her. She was an annoying son of a bitch human, no I think she wasn't even human then. But we stuck by her since freshman year and we know all the horrible things happened to her. - Raven says and I just listened

- But we think she's trying to heal. She doesn't know how, and we don't too. That's why we can't push her to stop her habits. And as much as we want to take all of her supplies away from her, we just can't, maybe not now. She says it's the only thing that's numbing her. And we can't blame her for that, for everything she's been through, it's worth a shot. - Octavia says with a tear

- I'm just thankful she's keeping herself alive. And even if she's a shitty person to herself, she's the best there is as a friend, a family even. She gives up and sacrifices everything for me, Raven and everyone she loves - Octavia says again and Raven agrees

What do they mean? What's wrong with Lexa? - What happened to her? - I ask hopeful

- Sorry, Clarke. It's not our story to tell. Just keep in mind that don't get hurt when she pushes you away. It only means she's having some bad time and just trying to not let her pain go out through you. She doesn't want other people to get in trouble with her own problems. She's a pain in the ass but she's the best friend we had - Octavia says and I just nod.

I let it go and continued my week.

Another week past and I still can't shake off the feeling that Lexa isn't safe, isn't okay. I know I shouldn't care for her anymore but what if she needs help?

LEXA POV
It's been over a month that I haven't been back to the dorms. I don't even go to school that much anymore. I was just focusing on Marcus' "to do list". It's my last year in school and I promised myself not to slack off but knowing I might bump into a certain blonde, I couldn't go back there.

I was having my usual afternoon workout when I get interrupted by one of the house maids. They said someone is waiting for me in the living room. So I told the maid if she can inform them I would go change a bit and if they could wait for me for a minute in Marcus' office.

I quickly ran to my room and changed. I changed to something a bit nice because it might be one of Marcus' clients. When I went to the office, I was surprised to see Clarke.

- Clarke? What are you doing here? - I ask very much confused

- Hey. I wanted to see how you were. - Clarke said standing frozen in the middle of the room.

I stood in my place too not knowing what to do. - Oh. How did you find the house? - I asked

- I kind of taken a part time work in the admin office and I may or may not looked at your personal profile. - Clarke admitted shyly and I just chuckled

- Well, I'm here. Is there something wrong in the room? - I asked. Because honestly, I don't know why she came here. Unless something happened in the room or to Raven or to Octavia.

I moved to the couch and patted the empty space beside me for her to sit. She obliged. - Nothing wrong happened in the room, or to Raven and Octavia. I just wanted to see you - Clarke admitted

I raise my eyebrows - I.. uh.. I'm okay if that's what you want to ask. - I said not wanting to make this conversation more awkward than it already is.

- Yea. You look like you're okay. - She pauses and I just look at her. - Why aren't you coming back to the dorms? - She asked

 - Why aren't you coming back to the dorms? - She asked

I shifted in my seat and gulped. - I hmm. I needed the quiet space. I have things to do for Marcus - I said honestly. I really had things to do for Marcus but the dorm room is already a quiet space.

Clarke just nods - Hmm. Okay. Are you sure you're okay? - She asks me again and I just nod

- Yea I am, Clarke. Thanks for asking. How about you? How are you? - I ask her so the awkward questions goes back to her

- Oh. I'm okay. Having too much time at work but, I'm good - She says and I just nod

- Are Raven and Octavia treating you well? - I ask again and she smiles at me

- Yea they are. We still have our daily breakfast, and every time I end work, they call me to say not to order any food because it's either they cooked or ordered something already - Clarke mentioned and I just smile at the thought.

I actually asked Raven and Octavia to look out for Clarke. But I didn't specify to feed her or other things, this means they really are fond of Clarke too. I mean, who isn't, right?

The room was filled with silence again. It was very awkward and thankfully one of the maids came knocking asking us what we want for some snacks.

- Oh thanks, Marie. Can you please set the kitchen instead? I'll just be the one to make snacks. We'll be down there in a sec - I say and she nods.

I breathe in deep and stand up. Clarke looks at me and I reach for her hands

- Come on, let's go have some snacks. It's Friday so you don't have to study until Sunday - I say smiling even if my heart was already pounding fast

Clarke stared at me for a few seconds, and when I was about to retreat my hands, she smiled at me and grabbed it. I smiled and lead her down the kitchen

End of Chapter 17.

Clarke went to see Lexa and this "snack" thing will be a turning point for both of them. Will they talk about the past or will they talk about the future?

Also about Marcus' to do list and Clarke's late night. it's connected, just a reminder. And it will be explained soon
