"How long are you here for?" Niklaus asked as he and Rosalie walked along the path at the park. Elijah having dragged Rebekah away so that the pair may bond. Niklaus chose to walk through the park, knowing that the open space would be better for the pair. And surprisingly private.
"Just the week, I have to get back to Hogwarts, and continue with my plans." Rosalie answered. She shoved her hands into her jacket as they stopped. "I have to finish the game, and I have to win."
"I thought you would be more your mother then me," Niklaus smirked. Rosalie frowned.
"I like to think I'm both of you in a way, just only one at a time." Rosalie said.
"You don't like being compared do you?" Niklaus asked. His eyes filled with worry that he may have fucked up.
"No, but for once I'm actually happy to see that I do remind you of yourself, it's hard sometimes when they would compare me to dad, uh no James." Rosalie started. "I never even knew either of them, but people just said I look so much like him, I was like him."
"But they never said anything about mum. I only know I apparently have her eyes." Rosalie finished as she jumped onto a rock the pair having made their way over to some rock formations.
Niklaus watched her closely to make sure she wouldn't fall but spoke up. "You have more then your mothers eyes. You have her smile, her nose, her kindness, her fierce glare that would make any grown man fear her, her bravery, and her love."
Rosalie looked to see Niklaus's eyes were filled with longing remembrance of her mother. "She was the first person you've ever trusted outside of your family wasn't she," Rosalie whispered as she jumped down from the highest rock and landed softly next to him.
Niklaus chuckled. "She was the first person outside of my family to tell me I wasn't a monster, that I was just like everyone else, I just needed blood to survive. She actually scoffed at me when I did try to scare her off." Niklaus said shaking his head and laughing. He looked to see Rosalie staring at him with a longing emotion. "What?"
"No one has ever said anything about her, it really has only been about my dad, uh sorry, James. It's nice to hear about her," Rosalie whispered.
Niklaus sighed seeing her struggle. "Rosalie, I am not going to be upset with you if you call James your father, he very much is, with how they explained it to me when I found it in one of their books. You are allowed to have more then one father or mother."
Rosalie slowly nodded, sighing softly as the weight of it lifted off her shoulders. "I'm probably gonna stumble with calling you dad as well, I've only ever known James as dad."
"And that is okay, I'm here for you now. Take the time you need to get used to calling me dad," Niklaus whispered as he placed a hand on her cheek. Rosalie grinned before turning and seeing Damon watching the pair.
