Scars

You will find your worth
In unworthy circumstances

There was only one guy in the whole Bible Jesus ever personally promised a place with him in Paradise. Not Peter, not Paul, not any of those guys. He was a convicted thief, being executed.

Beauty in ashes
Grace in pain
Even life in death

Scars tell the stories
That pages cannot read
Emotions cannot hold
Words can not speak

Its like ink on your skin
Some choose to hide
Few show with pride

When Jesus told Thomas
Touch me!
I paused, it blew my mind

How can you a ghost like figure
Have no body
But still you could touch him

Scars not only penetrate the body
But the spirit as well
The suffering for the marking of christ is supposed to be a blessing
Some treat it as a curse

I got scars and wounds
That time can't heal
Because I made bad decisions
That I can't forget or heal

I'm struggling to forgive myself
I'm fighting with the inner me

I heard a song
About a king
Casting his crown
Not taking the fight
But giving his life

A God like man
Being wounded and scared
From the things he made with sand

I needed a moment to think about this
Love, joy, peace and the holy ghost

There is not a scar
On earth that heaven can't heal
But

There is a scar in heaven
That must have cut him deep
To show that in the places of glory

The marks of a savior
And wounds of a king

Disgraced on earth but loved in heaven
