"Dick." Bruce, Tim, and Alfred said all at the same time.
Talon finally squirmed out of their grasp. "Talon." He said, pointing to himself. He couldn't help feeling that his supposed name sounded a bit unnatural as he spoke it. He meant to say it with conviction, but the name that had been spoken by Batman felt so much more right then 'Talon' ever did.
There were tears in Bruce's eyes as he reached forward and wrapped Talon in a hug. This time Talon didn't try to escape. He simply relaxed and let Bruce hold him in his arms. "Dick... you're alive!" Bruce squoze Talon harder before holding him at arms length and examining him.
"T-talon..." Talon said questioningly. In truth there was something about the name that they kept calling him that felt better than Talon ever had.
"Is that really Grayson?" Damian asked from across the room, walking over to examine the man he had heard so much about but never had the chance to meet.
Dick Grayson... That felt right. "Dick Gr... Grayson?" Talon asked. Something about that name unlocked feelings he hadn't felt in a while. That was his name. He was sure of it.
"Yes! Yes! Do you remember us Dick?" Tim asked excitedly.
"Remember?" Dick paused for a moment, looking everyone over and trying to remember anything about them. "No." He finally said, shaking his head sadly.
"You look like you could use a good meal Master Dick. Come, sit, I have prepared what used to be one of your favorite breakfasts." Alfred said, grabbing Dick's arm and guiding him to a chair next to Damian.
Dick simply sat in the chair Alfred gestured to. He stared sadly at the empty plate sitting in front of him. Everyone else was eating happily, but Dick didn't dare try to eat anything. Grandmaster had made him sit through many meals like this. Food for everyone but him.
"Tt. Grayson, the food is for more than just staring at." Damian said, scoffing. Dick just stared at him, looking like a kicked puppy. "Tt." Damian added, grabbing Dick's plate and piling eggs, bacon, and pancakes onto it.
Damian set the filled plate in front of his eldest brother who just stared at it in awe. "For... for me?" Dick asked tentatively.
"Tt. Yes Grayson." Damian said, slightly annoyed.
The harsh tone of Damian's voice made Dick flinch, but he turned to his food and dug in with gusto.
When everyone had eaten their fill of breakfast Bruce led Dick up to his room where he marveled at everything inside. There were a few boxes that contained everything that had been in Dick's apartment when he had died. Dick mostly ignored these, in favor of looking at all of the pictures that were carefully arranged on the various shelfs around the room.
Dick stopped at the most recent picture, the same picture Bruce had been looking at earlier. It was a picture of him, Tim, and Bruce all huddled together in a hug. Broad smiles stretched across the faces of all three. Dick picked the picture up off of the shelf and stared at his own smiling face... Blue. His eyes were blue. Dick reached up a hand and touched near his eye. His unnatural golden eye.
Bruce laid a reassuring hand on Dick's shoulder, and Dick gently set the picture back on the shelf. He slowly began walking around the room again, stopping at a poster hanging on the wall next to his bed. Dick gazed at the postor for a moment. It was a poster of the flying graysons...
Dick lifted a hand and caressed the image. "Mami... Tati..." Tears sparkled in his eyes and for a second it looked like he would remember, but then he blinked and the recognition in his eyes faded.
Bruce gazed at his eldest. He was overjoyed to have him back, but it was almost more painful to see him like this. A shell of himself. He was startled out of his thoughts by Dick's voice.
