The kids were reunited at Breadstix, all together at a table far away from Mr. Schue and Ms. Pillsbury to give the newlyweds some privacy. But considering how loud they were being, privacy was probably the last thing Mr. and Mrs. Schuester were having at that moment.

"I can't believe you and Sam didn't have another duet this time around for the competition." Mercedes said eventually, bringing the subject back to their recent Regionals win after they had talked about the graduates lives and relationships.

"We were allowed three songs this time around." She shrugged, taking a sip of her water. "And we really wanted to do Icona pop and Hall of fame, so something had to give."

"The original song was great too." Mike smiled. "Did you write it, Em?"

"Marley and I did." The girl answered again, nodding at the younger girl as she blushed a bit under all the stares she received. "Well, she did most of the work, I just kind of changed a line or two and took half the credit."

"Typical Emily..." Santana teased as Emily gasped, throwing a piece of her chicken across the table at her friend as everyone laughed.

"Oh, you say that as if I do it all the time." She rolled her eyes.

"Oh, but what about the wedding?" Sugar sighed dreamily as she leaned on Emily's shoulder and smiled, looking across the room at the couple. "I can't believe they actually did it."

"Pretty romantic, huh?" Blaine asked then, his eyes falling on Kurt for a second as the older boy just smiled.

"Well, I would still have preferred a big party, but I guess Ms. Pillsbury wouldn't handle the pressure again." He said.

"Yeah, and I don't think anyone would be able to handle another runaway bride incident." Santana agreed. "Besides, I can't keep coming back to Ohio every other day and knowing this glee club, I'm sure we'll be having another proposal soon."

"We had one, though." Brittany spoke up, as everyone turned to her then, half expecting her to talk about Lord Tubbington again. "Sam and Emily got married."

At that, the graduate kids snapped their heads at the couple as Emily smiled shyly and Sam just smirked. The younger kids turned to them as well, having heard rumors about the Samily wedding before but not having been able to get too much information from them about it, no matter how much they tried.

"You did what?" Mercedes choked a bit, shocked as Santana glared at Emily.

"If you became Mrs. Trouty Mouth at seventeen, Emily Marshall, I swear..."

"It was a fake wedding." Emily assured as Sam chuckled gently beside him. "We kind of did get married. But not really."

"Why?" Mike asked, as the girl shrugged.

"Ask Brittany. It was her idea."

"The world was ending!" Brittany defended herself when everyone turned to look at her. "I just wanted them to be forever!"

And as everyone laughed before falling into conversation again, Sam leaned closer to Emily so he could whisper in her ear.

"Good thing we don't need a wedding to be forever, right?" He asked his girlfriend as she smiled, snatching back the french fry Sam had picked out from her plate and placing it in her mouth instead.

"Not yet at least." She shrugged, as Sam raised an eyebrow at her with a huge smile on his lips.

"Someday, though?" He asked hopefully, as Emily shrugged, trying to play this conversation off even though that was the first time they seriously talked about actual marriage.

"Emily Evans..." She whispered, sounding out the name as Sam felt his heart doing somersaults in his chest. "Has a nice ring to it, huh?"

And leaning down to capture her lips in a kiss, Sam had to remind himself they were still young, in high school and had a whole life ahead of them. And if it wasn't for Sam's - and Emily's as well - distaste for high school marriage proposals thinking they were all still children as long as they were in school, he was sure he would have gotten up from his chair right then to rush to a jewelry shop and buy her a ring. Because he had meant it when he said it: Emily Marshall was his forever and he didn't need a wedding to know it.
