3. Trying to recall

What brings me to anima city huh.

"Well, I guess I just wanted to start fresh you know. A clean slate"

"Where did you come from? Did you not like your hometown?"

My home town....its so....fuzzy. Thinking about it, I can't remember anything. Who's my family? Do I have friends? Heck I can't remember what my favourite food is.

How have I only just noticed that I have full on memory loss. I guess cuz I forgot :P

I'll lie.

"Umm yeah it was a..."

I looked to the side where Shirou was standing and I noticed that he was staring intently at me, as if waiting to hear more about me

"It was, a nice, quaint town. You...wouldn't have heard about it but I enjoyed it there. I just wanted to be in the city, especially anima city"

"That sounds lovely" Melissa gave a warm smile "was it a human and beastman village?"

"Y-yes! But uh the humans weren't too bad. I kept being a beastman secret from them and so did the other beastman."

I glanced to the side. Shirou was still looking directly at me. Could he tell I was lying? Why do I feel so awkward.

I don't know why I'm lying. I only knew small parts about myself, and the only thing I've remembered well since I can remember, is Shirou. Maybe we HAVE met before.

Melissa smiled some more before speaking up

"I'm sorry for throwing lots of questions at you after you just got here. I'll leave it there"

I saw shirous gaze drift away from me, like he only wanted to know the parts about myself.

Then Jem spoke as a thought came to him

"You'll have to get your beastman certification so you can live here. It's at the-"

"It's fine I'll take them" a cold tone interrupted

"Oh well excellent, thank you"

Shirou just grunted and slightly shrugged his shoulders.

(Time skip)

"Haha yes I remember that. And that's why we don't go there anymore hahaha"

I kept smiling whenever Jem or Melissa were just being happy with eachother. And then sadness would wash over me as I longed for something like that.

"Well enough of that, how about we get you settled in your temporary room."

"That would be much appreciated, thank you"

We got up and I followed them to a door. When the door was opened I saw what looked to be a storage room

"Sorry it's not perfect but I hope it should be ok for the time being"

"At least the bed is clean" included Melissa

"I'm really grateful for all of this."

As I said that I noticed a fan on the floor.

"Would I be allowed to use the fan?"

"Oh yes of course"

That was good. I get hot quite easily so that should cool me down

"Oh and if you need anything, shirou is just through that door!"

Just as she said that the door creaks open and Shirou is there. A fast, small black figure zooms past Shirou and lands on my head. It was a small crow. It had nuzzled its way into my hair as if my hair were a nest.
