Khushi stood in front of the mirror staring at her reflection, she liked how the black velvet dress hugged her figure and just highlighted her shape perfectly, it was so flattering.
Today was their first dating anniversary and Arnav had planned something for her which he wouldn't tell her about, he just got her a dress and told her to put it on for their date.
It was a pretty black dress with very thin straps and a V-neck, it was a velvety material with tiny silver studs all around giving it a beautiful look.
She looked at her watch realizing it was time for her to leave and Suman hadn't arrived to pick her up yet, of course she had to sneak out for her date, it wasn't like her brothers were okay with her dating and going out on dates.
For the past one year, she had actually tried so hard to keep it all from her brothers, despite Prem occasionally smelling something fishy and trying to keep an eye on her, she was lucky to have Suman by her side who always told her what Prem was up to and she somehow managed to make everything look normal.
She couldn't believe that it had been a year since they started dating, it just felt like yesterday that they had joined the college and now time had flown and it was already an year. Everything between them was so perfect, it was just like the fairytale she had though, of course they had their own share of fights and arguments but it was never something big, also it was very adventurous since the had to hide it, it was kind of fun though.
The amount of work they had put into keeping this from her brothers was kind of difficult at times, but they always managed to keep it a secret.
The door to her room opened up and Rudra walked in, he stopped and stared at her with his eyes wide open.
"Wow, I have never seen you dressed up like this before, you look beautiful." He smiled at her.
"I am growing up, my fashion is growing up too." Khushi giggled.
"Are you sure you aren't going to see a boy dressed up like this?" Rudra asked suspiciously.
"I have had the doubt since she told me she was going to a hens party with Suman, now looking at her dressed like this I am suspicious too. Who goes to a hens party so dressed up? This looks like a date." Prem said as he walked in.
"Jeez guys seriously, girls like to dress up unlike you guys wearing pajamas at your bachelors party." Khushi said.
"How did you even make a friend that's old enough to get married anyway, you are just nineteen?" Rudra asked.
"She was in my college finish her last year when I joined first year, we just hanged out and became friends." Khushi lied about her imaginary friend.
"What's her age again?" Prem asked.
"Twenty-three, why?"
"Who gets married at twenty-three?" Prem asked.
"Indians!" Khushi laughed, her brothers just nodded well it was common wasn't it, so many people got married at twenty also.
"So what are you girls exactly going to do?" Rudra asked.
"Just meet up go to a restaurant for dinner and take lots of pictures." Khushi said.
"You better not be drinking, I'll wait for you to come back home and check on you." Rudra said.
"Jeez relax you two, I am not going to see any guys neither am I going to drink, now can I go? Suman must be here already to pick me up."
"You know we are letting you go because she is going so it sounds kind of genuine." Prem said.
"You two should joined the police force ad do your detective work there, I'm heading off." Khushi rolled her eyes as she grabbed her clutch and headed downstairs, her brothers were getting really suspicious day by day, she wasn't sure how she was going to keep this from them any longer.
