“It's a pleasure having you here with us, Mr. Logan and Mr. Smith.” Rafaello Racini said to his guests.

“Cut the formalities, Uncle.” James grinned and give the man a tap on his shoulders.

“What's with the flower, Sam?” lingon nito sa kanya.

Napatingin sya sa bulaklak na hawak. “Its for Hyacinth. I won't beat around the bush, Sir. I am here because I want to marry your daughter.”

“W-what?”

“The fuck man! You shouldn't drop the bomb like that.” sita ni James at pinaupo si Mr. Racini sa sofa dahil mukhang nabigla talaga ito.

“Sorry, Uncle. Kinakabahan lang ako.” he said sheepishly.

Sino bang mag-aakala na ama ng babaeng iyon ang nirerespeto nilang surgeon sa SinClaire's Group of Hospital?

“James, is this punk telling the truth? Paano nyang nakilala ang pasaway kong anak? Did she seduce him? Rape him? Damn it!” namumula ang mukhang turan ni Raf.

James laughed so hard that he wants to roll on the floor. Sinamaan nya ito ng tingin. He coughed awkwardly. Hindi nya inaasahan na maging ang ama ng dalaga ay ganoon ang tingin dito.

“Contrary to what you said, It was me who do the deed.” amin nya. “And I will take the responsibility, please let me marry her.” He said sincerely.

Natahimik ang lalaki at bumuntong hininga.

“What does that mean?” James asked in confusion.

“Youʼre too good for her, Sam. I know my daughter well enough that's why I can't agree to your request.” Rafaello said with a sigh.

“Why not? Sam's a good man and I think he will be a perfect son-in-law. And he might get our baby pregnant.”

Napatingin sila sa hagdan kung saan pababa ang babaeng nakalabgown.

“Sylvania, don't speak nonsense.”

“I'm not speaking nonsense, old man. My daughter deserves a good man and we all know that Sam is perfect for the role. And he wants to marry Yaz. Call me mommy from now on, son.” anito at binigyan sya ng masuyong yakap.

“We need to talk about this. You both know your daughter and I'm afraid she will treat Sam poorly after the wedding. We need to set a contracts.” James said indignantly.

“No need for that dude.” Ngumiti sya sa ina ng dalaga. “Thank you for the blessing mom.”

“Papayag lang ako kapag nangyari ang sinasabi ni James.”

“Is Hyacinth your daughter or not? Why are you siding too much for Sam?” Sylvannia glare at her husband.

“Sweetheart, we both know how kind hearted Samuel is. Ayoko lang na maagrabyado sya kapag nakasal sila ng anak natin. Kilala mo ang anak mo, she's way too stubborn.” nagpapaunawang wika ni Rafaello sa asawa.

“No need to set up a contract, Uncle. I believe that Hyacinth won't hurt me unless I let her do so. Stop worrying too much.” He assured them.

“Hindi parin ako sigurado.” ani James at padabog na umupo sa sofa. “We both know that Hyacinth is a b- oh. Sorry for the word. But yeah, she's like that. I'm worried for my bestfriends sake.”
