He watched you as you sang on stage with one of his fellow idols. The two of you singing a love song about a lost love. He knew that the song was about him, and so did the rest of his bandmates. But no one else knew.
The last time you two had seen each other was years ago. They were about to debut, and your father's business had transferred him back to the states. You could have stayed in Seoul. But you wanted him to be able to focus all of his energy on his career. So you kissed him goodbye one last time before you boarded your flight.
You had kept your promise to him and continued singing. That made him happy. He loved hearing you sing. He always buys your latest album. He knows that you bought theirs too. You both supported each other in the only way that you could.
He watched as a tear fell from your eye. He wanted so badly to hold you and to tell you how much he missed you. But he couldn't, not even backstage. They were always being watched, and you knew that. When you had passed by him and the guys, you gave each other a small smile and slight bow before you both went your separate ways.
You both will forever be each other's first loves. Sadly you will also forever be the one that got away.
