11.30am

The three kids, Kyo, Yuki and that extremely blissful girl Tohru, went to school after Rin woke up from unconsciousness, and ate a homemade meal. She's feeling much better, with no signs of any critical injuries. However, Hatori said she should let the hospital examine her condition more closely, just in case.

Rin didn't like the idea much. Her mood changed from stoic, to cold stubbornness in seconds.

Though, I knew Hatori was right. I'm still worried about her. So, when I agreed with him, she eventually gave in.  Saying she'll do her best to stay put, if and only if, her condition is critical, or worse than normal.

Shigure stayed bubbly through it all. Being the same clingy, annoying butt sniffer like always. He used the opportunity to show me his latest work in writing, and it didn't come as a surprise that he became an author. Since the day I met him, he constantly had a huge passion formulating words, thoughts and fantasies into a story. Back then, what he wanted more than anything was to publish his very own book, and make an honest living in that profession.

Looks like he managed to realise his dream, and it sure makes him happy.

Hatori, on the other hand, was swinging from one profession to the other. Unsure what he truly wanted to do. But now, he seems to savour what he has accomplished by becoming the doctor of the Sohma family.

When it comes to expressing emotions, he ain't the easiest person to read, or get in most situations. That side of him hasn't change one bit through the years. The part that changed the most is his attractive looks, and height.

After awhile, Hatori offered to give the two of us a ride, which we gladly accepted. Rin seated herself in the back of his black BMW car, and I in the passenger seat. He drives carefully through the city.

Staying quiet.

But who am I to judge? Neither the two of us made so much as a squeak during the ride to the hospital. Once we were there, Hatori parked the car right outside the entrance and finally speaks, "Here we are, Rin. You want us to follow you in?"

"No, I'll be fine on my own." Rin answered with a distant voice, then unclasped the seatbelt with a *click*

I stare out the window while this was going on, feeling somewhat nauseous taking in the sight of the large building. Then, Rin's careful voice appeared right next to my seat, "See you soon, Blue."

I turn my head to the right, facing her barely as she opened the door, "Sure thing. Take care." I give a small smile, and a wave while seeing her off.

Before I even realized it, the two of us are now alone in the car. Heading straight for the lake house, aka the Sohma's vacation house number one. The radio plays mixed songs with low volume, and the passing cars makes audible whoosh sounds.

I mentally noted every tree, every building and obstacles on the way. Trying to recall the old memories of this particular place, where Hatori, Shigure, Ayame and me used to hang out as kids.

"You and Rin were close?" Hatori suddenly breaks the silence, snatching my attention on him, "You never told me." He side eyed me for a short second, then kept his gaze on the road again.

"Yeah, well.." I shrug, "It was just a coincidence."

"In which way?"

I sigh, looking ahead, "Isn't there anything else to talk about, but this?"

"Alright." He replied motionless, and for a split second I felt myself at ease, until: "What about your scars? Is it self caused, or did someone beat the crap out of you?"

I gulp, and turned my gaze to the window, "That's not relevant."

"Yes, it is." He continued, starting to get on my nerves, "Like it or not, but I'm the doctor of the Sohma family. Your health is my responsibility."

I cross my arms, brows knitting together in vexation, "I'm perfectly fine. Just look who you're talking to, mr. Seahorse."

Unexpectedly, he stifles a chuckle, "Mhmh" my eyes flicker on him, shifting to his raven black hair, purple irises, slender brows, all the way down to his perfect nose, hot lips, and strong jaws.

He gives me a mischievous side gaze, whenever he got the chance to look away from the road, "Is one examination too much to ask?"

I almost shook my head, but quickly replaced it with a serious nod, "Duh!"

"Seems like you have changed after all." His lips curls up into a tiny smirk, "You didn't mind removing your clothes when we were little."

I blush in embarrassment of the reminder, "Gosh, I was just a kid you perverted medico!"

He coughs a silent laugh, finding this quite amusing for some reason. I dip my head, fumbling with my fingers. Still feeling the burning heat on my cheeks. A strand of hair slowly slides forward, hiding the left side of my crimson face.

'Why did he bring that up anyway? We might have been a bit reckless as kids, but that doesn't mean we remain that foolish way forever' I thought, and suddenly felt a warm hand stroking my heated cheek. Slowly meeting his glance again, as he tuck my hair behind my ear.

"We're here." He informed with a smile, driving up a mountain road, where a nice looking house is built in harmony with the green forest. It's an hour away from the city, with less to none people around the area. This place is without a doubt, suitable for me to stay in for a little while.
