"Hrrrmph."

Akaashi rolled over, suddenly aware of the empty space beside him. He blinked sleepily, shifting to a more comfortable position. Rubbing his eyes with one fist, he stretched his other arm.

Where was Bokuto?

Suddenly he felt two strong arms snake around his torso, pulling him back into an equally strong chest. Akaashi couldn't help but smile in return. Bokuto could hear it in his voice as he said, "good morning."

Bokuto let him go, sitting on the edge of the bed to remove his shoes. Akaashi suddenly yawned, stretching his arms in a Y shape. Bokuto stared, captivated. His mind replayed only one thought on loop:

So cute.

Akaashi stopped yawning and noticed him staring. "Hey, what are you doing?"

Bokuto shook his head, still smiling. "Ah, nothing."

My tablet suggested "Ah, hooting" for that sentence ⬆️

Akaashi squinted suspiciously, then shrugged. "Whatever you say, Bokuto."

He swung his legs out from underneath the covers, hoisting himself onto the carpeted floor. He almost opened the curtains, but remembered that Bokuto was a vampire and instead made his way to the large mirror from last night. He looked down at the dresser, fingering the knife gingerly.

Behind him, Bokuto stood up, then plucked the dagger from in front of Akaashi. He twirled it expertly between his fingers, somehow managing not to cut himself. Akaashi stared, entranced.

Bokuto smiled dangerously at him. "Beautiful, isn't it? How something so fatal can be so...attractive."

Akaashi didn't dare answer. Bokuto took this as confirmation.

"But always remember, in the wrong hands, things can get...deadly."

Quick as a flash, Bokuto sliced Akaashi's arm. Akaashi stumbled back, clutching the shallow wound. Bokuto tossed away the knife, striding purposefully towards Akaashi. With a sudden aggressiveness, he yanked Akaashi's arm up to his mouth, biting and sucking blood from the scratch.

Akaashi winced, trying to pull his arm away, but Bokuto was too strong. He struggled, even going so far as to push his head back with his other arm. Bokuto barely moved back when he did this, just a step.

Bokuto glanced up at Akaashi's eyes, and Akaashi could see the strange hunger that consumed him. Akaashi flinched, backing up rapidly towards the bed. Bokuto followed, licking his lips.

Just as Akaashi thought it couldn't possibly get worse, Bokuto pounced, tackling him to the mattress. He put his mouth on Akaashi's neck, biting down. Akaashi yelped, squirming beneath Bokuto's grasp, but he wouldn't let go.

There really wasn't much he could do about his situation. Oh, the price of being curious.
