WHEN SHE GETS JEALOUS, SHE SAYS
09-09-2020What is jealousy? Is it a good thing or a bad thing? How do you handle people who gets jealous easily? How will you handle people who don't get jealous at all? When they get jealous, do they stay silent or nag you about it all day? If so, what does your other half says when they get jealous? As for me, she says...
"Go ahead." with a smile flashed on her face, she says it with full utter confidence. As if jealousy was defined the same way as happiness did, she plasters her smile that it seemed almost sarcastic, probably mocking you, intimidating you, TORTURING you. Or maybe not, maybe because you're just paranoid that it seemed that way. Maybe because you're probably guilty of something or maybe because you feel obligated to feel guilty. They work both ways, don't they?
When someone gets jealous, they feel insecure with themselves... believe it or not, they DO. They don't want the things they acquired through hardworks be taken easily by others without doing a single effort. It suffocates them, they feel stabbed, they feel HORRIBLE... and I don't think horrible is the lone word that fits to what they feel, they may feel TERRIBLE, DREADFUL, HORRENDOUS, GRUESOME--drop it, in simple words they feel bad. So bad that it makes their guts turn upside down that even throwing up the breakfast they'd just eaten doesn't help. If they don't speak, how will you know they're jealous?
Mere actions doesn't define everything, it is defined on every thing it means. You kicked the grass because you liked to do so but other people saw you and thought you did it because you're bored, others may think you might have a problem and everything follows. See? Mere actions doesn't always work that way, it is only by luck that people may point out what's wrong with you, a coincidence rather.
"I'm sorry. This won't happen again." you apologized. Not because you feel guilty but because there is no other way out... or maybe because you do feel guilty and you can't get out of it, because it bugs you. It bugs you so much that you can't fall asleep or you can't fall asleep because your ecstasy is just too much with the excuse you made up to make her accept your apology. Is it or isn't it? They do work both ways.
"Don't mind! Think of it as a trial to our relationship." the way she said it sends shivers to your spine. Your mouth went dry, your heart started to pound so fast and loud that you can't hear anything but its beating. Your heart started to race because you think the idea was right but you know for yourself that you're just guilty. And you hate the real reason that you convinced yourself that it is indeed a trial.
Or maybe not. Maybe because you were just too happy that it made your heart race and thought about how wonderful and an understanding person she is. You are grateful and considered yourself lucky. You are thankful that she only thought of it as a trial and not the other way around, but a voice inside you kept saying it's the other way around and that she only says that because she doesn't want to lose you. You neglected the voice.
The next time you did the same mistake again, she was still as bright and cheerful as always. You knew she was jealous and you knew what she will always say when she does. Your confidence was outraging you that when you heard her answer to your apology you wanted to break down. You wanted her to take her back what she just said and correct the mistakes you did. Pretty greedy isn't it? Let's not be a hypocrite, the more the other person let us be, the more greedy we become. We can't be wrong at some times because that's how humans are, they are greedy. Humans are curious on everything and you knew you are just like them... after all, you are HUMAN.
She never took any of your time, she lets you be with your friends. She lets you go out with girls especially when invited by your friends. She don't hang out with her male friends anymore because you didn't liked the idea. She treasures you so much, that even jealousy for her is converted into happiness.
Or maybe it's the other way around.
But if it is, then when she gets jealous, why does she says...
"Enough."
